To join Indian Army, one of the modes is through the Technical Graduate Course or TGC. Indian Army publishes TGC notifications from time to time, and the most recent and upcoming of them is the TGC 131.
TGC 131 will be an opportunity to join the 131st Technical Graduate Course commencing in July 2020 at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun for permanent commission in Indian Army. A short notification with online form dates for the same have been announced.
Indian Army has released a brief notification regarding the availability of the application form for 131st Technical Graduate Course (TGC). According to the notice, TGC 131 July 2020 online application will open on October 30, 2019, at 1200 hrs. The last date of submitting the online application is November 14, 2019.
TGC 131 July 2020, recruitment is only for the Engineering streams. Candidates with the degree in any programme besides engineering shall not be considered eligible to apply. Also, the candidate must have completed a requisite degree or must be in the final year of the degree.
Online form will be made available in the provided window at the official website of Indian Army which is joinindianarmy.nic.in. Before completing the registration process, it is advised to interested candidates to go through the detailed notification, which will also be available on the start date of registration, and read the instructions carefully. All the information provided in the form should be genuine. Once the form is submitted, no changes can be made.
The selection of the candidates will be done in three stages. In the first stage, the shortlisting of the application form will be done by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). The shortlisting of the application will be done on the basis of cutoff percentage of marks for each engineering streams. Candidates will be informed about the allotted centre via their e-mail. The selected candidates have to select the SSB date.
The SSB interview will be done in two-stage (Stage I & II). Candidates qualifying the stage I will go to stage II. Those who clear stage II will be recommended for the medical examination.
Candidates are informed that qualifying the SSB interview does not confirm the selection. A merit list will be prepared Engineering Stream / Subject wise based on the marks secured in the SSB Interview. One who made to the merit list and is within the stipulated streamwise vacancies and also declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for Pre-Commissioning training.
Selected candidated will get Short Service Commission on probation in rank of Lt. After the training is over the candidates will get Permanent Commission in the rank of Lt.
