Indian Air Force Group X and Y Recruitment 2020 Notification Out For 01/2021 Intake

IAF Airmen X and Y 2020 for 01/2021 intake notification is hereby released.

Indian Air Force Group X and Y Recruitment 2020

Indian Air Force (IAF) has published the notification for Group X and Y recruitment 2020 for 01/2021 batch intake. Online application form for the recruitment will be available at airmenselection.cdac.in and careerindianairforce.cdac.in from January 2 to 20, 2020. IAF Airmen X and Y exam will be held from March 19 to 23, 2020. 

Through this recruitment, candidates can join the defence force as Airmen in group X trades except education instructor, and group Y trade except automobile technician, IAF police, IAF security and musician trades.

Candidates who were born between January 17, 2000 and December 30, 2003 can apply against Airmen 01/2021 notification. The required educational qualification for group X posts is to be a class 12th pass with mathematics, physics, english with at least 50% in aggregate and 50% in english. Or, those who passed a 3-years diploma course in engineering such that aggregate score was 50% and 50% was in english, can also apply. 

Class 12th pass candidates with any subject combination, and candidates who had passed a 2 years vocational course, both with 50% in aggregate and 50% in english, are eligible for group Y. However in group Y, those who wish to apply for the medical assistant trade, need to have passed class 12th with physics, chemistry, biology and english with 50% in aggregate and 50% in english.

Application fee Airmen selection registration is Rs 250.

Those who apply will get admit card through their emails in the month of February 2020. 

The test for group X posts will be online, of 60 minutes, and will have questions on english, physics, and mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus. 

Airmen test for group Y will also be online, but it will be of 45 minutes. Test will be in english and as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and reasoning and general awareness (RAGA) questions. 

Those who wish to apply for group X as well as Y trades will sit in an online test of 85 minutes. It will have english, physics, mathematics questions on the 10+2 syllabus and questions on reasoning and general awareness. 

For all the trades, questions will be multiple choice. Each question will be of 1 mark. There will be negative marking of 0.25 per incorrect answer. 

Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for phase II. In phase II, first candidates will undergo document verification, and other than that they will go through physical fitness test, adaptability test 1, and adaptability test 2. Then phase III will be medical examination.

After the complete selection process, merit wise provisional select list will be prepared and displayed at airmen selection centres, and airmenselection.cdac.in on October 31, 2020. Candidates who will be finally selected for enrollment will be published on December 10, 2020.
