Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) is going to begin the registration process for the IIM Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 from tomorrow i.e August 04, 2021, from 10:00 am onwards. Interested and eligible candidates can begin applying for the entrance test on the official website iimcat.ac.in. Aspirants can apply for CAT 2021 till September 15, 2021, till 5:00 pm and complete all the registration formalities. This year, CAT 2021 exam is scheduled to be held on November 28, 2021, through the computer-based mode.
To successfully apply for CAT 2021 examination, students must keep the following documents ready for upload. These documents are as follows:
#1 Passport-size photograph
A scanned image of the passport-size photograph must be uploaded during the CAT 2021 application process. The dimensions of this image must be 30mm x 45mm. Photographs must be uploaded in JPG or JPEG format with a size not more than 80kb. This same photograph has to be affixed to the CAT 2021 admit card. Hence, candidates must keep spare copies of their photographs well in advance.
#2 Candidate’s signature
Along with the photograph, candidates must also upload a scanned copy of their signature following the dimensions of 80mm x 35mm. Here again, the document must be uploaded in JPEG or JPG format. No other file formats shall be accepted by the application portal.
#3 EWS, NC-OBC, ST, SC certificate (if applicable)
Candidates belonging to reserved categories must download the certificate from the CAT 2021 official website i.e., iimcat.ac.in. Thereafter, they must enter the required details in the certificate and self-attest it. Finally, candidates must upload a copy of their certificate in PDF format.
#4 PwD Certificate (if applicable)
Similar to a caste certificate, candidates with a disability status must download the certificate directly from the official website and follow the same sequence of steps as mentioned for reservation candidates.
IIM authorities will be accepting applications of only those candidates who have uploaded their documents as per the specified guidelines. After completing the registration formalities, aspirants must wait for the CAT 2021 admit cards which are scheduled to release on October 27, 2021, at 5:00 pm. The exam will be held a month later, on November 28, 2021. As per the guidelines issued by IIM, results are likely to be announced by the second week of January 2022. However, the CAT score is applicable only till December 2022. Therefore, the scores will be accessible during this tenure.
