Aspirants planning to pursue MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) should note that the application form of IIFT MBA Admission 2018-20 will be releasing soon. The institute will invite eligible candidates to apply for one of the most sought MBA admission across the country.
The announcement has been made on the official website, which is tedu.iift.ac.in. On the landing page, the marquee in the middle section runs as – MBA (IB) 2018-20: Application Form for Full Time MBA (IB) 2018-20 – Coming Soon. It is as shown in the image below.
Apart from this, no other information has been revealed about the examination or the IIFT 2018 application form. However, usually, the application form for the exam is released at the end of July and it remains available until the 2nd week of September. Then, in the mid of November, the admit card is issued for those candidates who submit the form and the fee successfully.
The examination is also held in the month of November and the result of it is announced before the end of December. Such is the chronology usually followed by the Institute for MBA admission and it is expected that even this year it will remain the same. However, a little delay in the schedule is always possible.
IIFT offers two years MBA Program in International Business (IB). Only those candidates are granted admission in this course, who possess a graduation degree from a recognized institute and have qualified all the rounds of selection. The round of selection includes a written test, essay writing, Group Discussion, and Interview.
The written examination will be held in 20 major cities, which will be Indore, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Lucknow, Bangalore, Allahabad, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar, Dehradun, Kolkata, Delhi, Jamshedpur, and Jaipur.
It will be an online examination, in which multiple choice questions on English Comprehension, General Knowledge and Awareness, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Analysis will be asked. The candidates will have two hours to attempt all the questions and question booklet will only be available in the English Language.
The result of the written examination will be announced on the basis of the cutoff. In the previous year, the cutoff has gone as high as 48.50 for General category, 38.50 for SC/ST/PH category and 43.50 for OBC (NCL). It is not guaranteed that even this year it will remain the same but is expected to be somewhere near these figures only.
The qualifiers of the written examination will be called for the essay writing test. Through it, the communicating skills of the candidates will be tested. Candidates who will clear the examination will be called for the Group Discussion or Personal Interview round.
For GD and PI, call letters will be issued to the candidates. Through it, the candidates will know their centers of the interview. Mostly, the GD/PI round is only held in the city of Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Lucknow, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
When all the four rounds of IIFT MBA (IB) selection are concluded, the final merit list is produced. The candidates featured in the final merit list are the ones who receive admission in the institute.
