IGNOU Starts Registration for OPENMAT 2019 (XLV) July Session; Exam on 10 March

IGNOU Starts Registration for OPENMAT 2019 XLV Session

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the registration for the July 2019 Admission to MBA programme. For the new academic year starting from 2019, two sessions take place. First one the XLIV session which has been over on December 16, 2018. Now, the application form has been available for the second session known as OPENMAT XLV. Interested candidates can apply for XLV in the 30 days application window until February 17, 2019.

Registration for OPENMAT 2019

IGNOU has released the entrance test registration notification in the national newspapers on January 16, 2019. Though the link to register for the exam was activated at ignou.ac.in only on January 17, 2019, at 5:30 PM. Students who want to improve their performance from the last session or appearing for exam first time can apply before the last date.

Also, candidates must note that the official website does not work properly in the last days of registration due to huge traffic. So, it is advisable that exam aspirants submit the application form latest by February 10, 2019. Importantly, there is no provision to submit the form via hard copy. The application fee is Rs 1000/- for all the candidates, which can be paid via online modes such as credit card, debit card, or internet banking.

The application form for OPENMAT XLV 2019 is an eight-step process. Which includes entering the basic details, uploading of documents, and payment of fees. The important documents to upload are photograph and signature. The passport size photograph should have a size less than 100 KB in JPG/JPEG format. In the same manner, the signature should be clear with size less than 50 Kb.

Candidates must fill all the details correctly in the form as there is no correction window after signing the declaration

After submitting the application form, candidates must take a print out of the form and fee receipt. Candidates may require a copy of the form during the admission process. Also, keep the Username and password safe to download the admit card and result.

The exam date for OPENMAT XLV has been scheduled to take place on March 10, 2019. Candidates now have almost 2 months to prepare for the exam. OPENMAT is a pen and paper-based test of 180 minutes having 200 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The paper is divided into four sections naming general awareness, English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning having 30, 50, 50, and 70 questions respectively.

The admit card for XLV is expected to release on March 04, 2019 ie six days before the examination. Also, there are some candidates who are awaiting XLIV exam result. Until now, there is no notification regarding this on the official website. As the exam result releases six to seven weeks after the examination, the result may release in the fourth week of January 2019.
