Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will conduct IGNOU OPENMAT 2019 on March 10, 2019. The examination for admission to the management programme will take place in 61 centres all over India. For the July session, approximately 5879 candidates have registered for the exam. Candidates clearing the OPENMAT XLV will able to take admission in July for the academic year 2019.
The university has issued the OPENMAT 2019 Hall Ticket on February 20, 2019. Applicants can download it using the control number or mobile number & date of birth. It consists of important details like enrollment number, exam centre details, course, exam time etc. Apart from that, the university has also notified some important instructions to the test takers.
#1. Important Documents to Carry
On the examination day, it is essential to carry important documents for the verification round. Thus, every test taker must have admit card, original & photocopy identity proof, photograph, blue/ black ballpoint pen, and HB Pencil. As per the information brochure, candidates must fill the OMR sheet with a pencil, however, in the latest notice students must use a ballpoint pen to mark the answer booklet.
#2. Reporting Time
As per the instructions by the university, all the candidates must reach their allotted exam centre by 09:15 AM. There is no entry in the exam hall post 10:30 AM. Even more, test takers are not allowed the exam hall before 11:00 AM. OPENMAT XLV is a 180 minutes test which will take place between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
#3. Debarred Items in the Exam Hall
The exam conducting body has also notified the list of the items that are not allowed in the test premises. Items like pagers, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, calculators, study material are strictly prohibited. In case, students carrying any of these items, they have to leave outside the exam hall at their own risk.
#4. During the Examination
OPENMAT is a pen and paper-based examination in which candidates have to mark answers in the OMR Sheet. In there fill name, address, roll number, Pincode and centre code. Thereafter sign on the answer sheet as per the instructions of the invigilator. Also, do not make any stray marks on the answer books and do the rough work on the question booklet only.
#5. After the Examination
Once the exam is over, candidates must keep the signed copy of the admit card safe until the completion of the admission process. It is required to show the signed hall ticket otherwise the application for admission will be outrightly rejected.
