Council For The Indian School Certificate (CISCE) has announced the ICSE and ISC compartment exam result 2019 today, on August 7, 2019 at 3 pm. As per a news report published when the compartment exam datesheet was released, initially the result was supposed to be declared on August 5, 2019. CISCE has published the result on its official website cisce.org, and also sent SMS for the same to individuals. To check the result, students need to visit results.cisce.org and login with UID, index number. The result shows marks obtained in each subject and an overall pass certificate awarded or not statement.
To get compartment result via SMS, ICSE students need to sms ICSE <space><Unique Id> and send to 09248082883. ISC students need to sms the message ISC <space><Unique Id> and send it to the same number.
This is the first time that CISCE conducted compartment exam for class 10th (ICSE) and class 12th (ISC) students. The council secretary had remarked after CICSE results that they wanted to give students another chance to retake the exam, and hence they decided to hold the compartment exams. Students needed to clear English and three more subjects in order to be eligible for the compartment exams.
ICSE compartment exam was held from July 15 to 17, 2019. On the first day, papers were held for history and civics paper 1, physics paper 1, commercial studies group II elective, economics, group II elective, environmental science group II elective, and commercial applications group III elective. On second day, papers were held for second languages (bengali, hindi, malayalam, nepali, odia, sanskrit), mathematics, chemistry. Then on third day, the papers of geography, and biology were held. All the papers were of 2 hours, except second languages papers that were of 3 hours, and mathematics of 2.5 hours.
ISC compartment exam was held on July 15 and 16, 2019. Hindi, history paper 1, political science paper 2, geography paper 1, economics paper 1, commerce paper 1, accounts paper 1, business studies paper 1, mathematics paper 1, physics paper 1, chemistry paper 1, biology paper 1, home science paper 1, computer science paper 1, physical education paper 1, environmental science paper 1 was held on first day. The next day commerce, business studies, chemistry, physical exam papers were conducted.
Pass percentage of ICSE students in the year 2019 stood at 98.54%, and that for ISC was 96.52%. Both the pass percentages were higher than last time, when they were 98.51% and 96.21% respectively.
Compartment examinations act as a second chance for students to score the minimum passing marks and pass their class. A number of examination boards in India conduct compartment, supplementary exams after declaring the regular board exam results.
Council For The Indian School Certificate is a national education board. Students from 9th standard to 12th standard appear for board exams under CISCE. The board came into existence on November 03, 1958. CISCE was developed with the aim of providing quality education among students.
