Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has just published a notification for the upcoming AIEEA 2020 exams. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct All India Entrance Examinations for Admission (AIEEA) to UG, PG, PhD programs on June 1, 2020. Online application form will be available at ntaicar.nic.in from the scheduled date. Candidates interested in admission to ICAR-AUs need to appear in the NTA ICAR 2020 exams.
Names of the exams for admission to the mentioned levels of courses are respectively ICAR AIEEA UG 2020, ICAR AIEEA PG 2020, ICAR AICE JRF/SRF PGS 2020. All candidates who wish to appear in these exams must refer to the press release that was published by NTA on August 21, 2019.
Exact text of the notification is as follows.
“The ICAR’s All India Entrance Examinations for Admission to UG [ICAR AIEEA (UG)-2020], PG [ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2020] and Ph.D. [ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS)-2020] including the remaining three ICAR DUs-IARI, NDRI and CIFE] for the Academic Session 2020-21 shall be conducted on 1 June, 2020 by National Testing Agency (NTA), under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. All the prospective candidates for these examinations are advised to see the press release dated 21st August, 2019 on the NTA website www.nta.ac.in.”
“They are further advised to remain in touch with NTA websites www.nta.ac.in or www.ntaicar.nic.in for any future notifications and general notices, etc. regarding schedule of examinations, start of online applications, conduct of examinations in CBT mode, etc.”
While this notice only confirms the exam date, NTA has already announced the complete schedule for the exam. Dates of all three UG, PG, PhD AIEEA exams will be common. Registration for the exams will start on March 1, 2020, and end on March 31, 2020. Thereafter hall tickets aka admit cards will be released on April 25, 2020.
After conducting the exam on the first Monday in the month of June, result will be declared by June 15, 2020.
However the one crucial point that the notice corroborates is the official website for NTA ICAR 2020. As per this notice, the official website will be ntaicar.nic.in.
Why this piece of information is important is because this year the National Testing Agency has changed the website url of many of its including JEE Main, UGC NET. This gave birth to speculations that the official website for ICAR exam could be changed to icar.nta.nic.in. However today’s notification puts these speculations to rest, and candidates can simply go to the said website, ntaicar.nic.in in March to apply.
