The Indian Council of Agricultural Research hereby informs dates of AIEEA UG 2018, AIEEA PG 2018, AICE SRF PGS 2018. Respective dates and times are 12th May 2018 (10 am to 12:30 pm), 13th May 2018 (10 am to 12:30 pm), 13th May 2018 (10 am to 1 pm).
All India Entrance Examinations – AIEEA – are conducted every year for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs; and AICE JRF/SRF PGS for admission to doctoral programs in agricultural and allied sciences. This year 23rd AIEEA will be held. It is for filling up 15% seats in Bachelor and 25% seats each in Master (100% seats in ICAR DUs) and Doctoral degree programmes in accredited agricultural universities (except the four ICAR DUs). Through AIEEA PG, 475 ICAR PG scholarships and through AICE JRF/SRF PGS, 202 fellowships are also awarded. Those candidates who do not get ICAR PG scholarship are awarded NTS PGS if they take admission outside their state of domicile.
So now the students looking forward to study Bachelor in agricultural and allied sciences can note that they have to appear in 23rd ICAR AIEEA UG 2018 on 12th May 2018 for a two and half hour long entrance exam. They are eligible if they have passed or are appearing in 10+2 examination with physics, chemistry and biology / agriculture / mathematics.
Likewise for postgraduate aspirants, it may be noted that the exam is on 13th May 2018, also for two and half hours. This exam also leads to ICAR PG scholarships / NTS PGS. They are eligible if they have passed Bachelor’s degree or are appearing in final year exam in agricultural and allied sciences or related subjects with four year degree. Only some courses at IARI and NDRI accept students who have done 10+2+3 years of education.
The exam for PhD and award of JRF / SRF PGS is on 13th May 2018 for three hours. In order to be eligible for this exam, one needs to be Indian national having passed Master’s degree or appearing in final semester examination in agricultural and allied sciences from any recognized university in India or abroad.
