Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has updated an important announcement on the official website icai.org. ICAI has decided to re-open the online application form for the Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate, Post Qualification Course viz. Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination, and International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT – AT). The institute has announced that the online application form is to be re-opened from May 04, 2021.
As per the latest official announcement on the website of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the last date to fill up the online application form for the CA Finals, Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate, Post Qualification IRM Technical Exam and International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT – AT) is May 06, 2021. The notice reads “it has been decided to re-open the online filling up of examination application form… from 4th May 2021 (10 AM) to 6th May 2021 (11.59 PM) with late fees (600/- or US $ 10)“.
The decision to re-open the procedure to fill up the online application form for the aforementioned examinations of the ICAI has been taken in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation and in the interest of welfare & well-being of the students. Aspiring candidates must note the date and keep a close eye on the official website icai.org to get the latest updates regarding the release of the online application form.
Earlier in March 2021, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India released an official notification indicating that it is mandatory for all candidates desirous of appearing in the May 2021 CA examinations to fill up the online application form. This is inclusive of those who opted out of the November 2020 CA examinations and have chosen to appear in the May 2021 examinations instead. The notice reads, “examination fees for such students will be adjusted and only differential fees, arising out of groups/country change, if any, will be charged additionally”.
Candidates may note that on April 27, 2021, the Institute released an official postponement notification of the Final and Intermediate Chartered Accountants Examinations. At that time, the examinations were scheduled to be held on May 21 & 22, 2021. The CA Final and Intermediate examinations are held at the international level in centres in and outside of India. The ICAI also announced at that time that at least 25 days prior notice will be given to candidates before the date of the examination. Those who are aspiring to appear in the May 2021 session of the aforementioned CA examinations are advised to visit the official website regularly and apply online as per schedule.
