ICAI IPCC May Result Announced 2017; Churu Boy Tops the Exam

Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the result of IPCC exam, which was held in the month of May 2017. The result has been announced today, on August 01, 2017. The candidates can check it from the official website, which is icaiexam.icai.org.

To check the result, the candidates first need to click here. Then, the candidates will be required to access the appropriate link and enter Registration Number / PIN Number and Roll Number. On clicking the ‘submit’ button, the result portal will open and the candidates will be able to check their marks.

ICAI has also announced the result through E-mail and SMS services. However, via e-mail, only those candidates can check the result, who registered on the official website of the exam.

However, to check the result via the SMS medium the candidates are required to send an SMS at 58888. The facility is functional for all the mobile services. However, the candidates need to ensure that the message is formatted correctly. The SMS should be typed as ‘CAINTER(Space) Roll Number’.

The result of CA IPCC May 2017 has been announced separately as score and merit list. It has been announced for all the candidates who appear for the examination. However, the rank has only been allocated to those qualifiers who secured more than 55% marks in the examination.

To check the merit of IPCC the candidate need to access the merit list portal, it appears as below, and enter Roll Number and Security code in it. The merit of the candidates has been allocated on the basis of the score secured in the exam.

IPCC has been topped by Gaurav Sarawagi. He has secured 565 marks in the IPCC May examination, which eventually lead to him holding the Rank 1. Following the top ranker in the race is Ronak Rajendra Jain. He secured the second place by obtaining 561 marks. Rank 3 has also been secured by a male candidate, Hasan Mohammad, who got 560 marks out of the total.

The topper is a resident of Churu and has managed to secure a total of 80.71%. The second and third toppers are from Nashik and Nagpur and have got 80.14% and 80.00%, respectively. Check the official topper notice below.

Along with the result, the conducting body has also announced the pass percentage in the exam. The percentage this year has been, 23.12 for Both Groups, 17.48 for Group I and 9.84 for Group II. Total 49967 candidates appeared for the examination, under Both Group, and only 11550 qualified. in Group 1 and Group 2, the number of appeared candidates has been 66680 and 65453, respectively. Whereas, the number of qualified candidates is 6562 and 11440.

In comparison to last year, the pass percentage has dropped a lot. Last year for Nov exam, it was 32.5 for Both the Groups, hence, leading to a difference of 9.41. The pass percentage in Group I and II was 19.27 and 30.10. Therefore, one can clearly see the difference in the percentage this year.
