Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has published the IBPS PO notification 2019 today. Banking aspirants are notified that they can apply online from August 7, 2019. The deadline to register, pay fees, edit data will be August 28, 2019. Preliminary exam will be held on four dates October 12, 13, 19, and 20, 2019. Thereafter the mains exam will be held on November 30, 2019. Tentatively the number of vacancies of Probationary Officer (PO) / Management Trainee (MT) for 2020-21 is 4336.
A total of seventeen banks are participating in IBPS PO recruitment 2019 namely Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India. Selection process will comprise of prelims, mains, and interview.
Age limit to apply for the vacancies is minimum 20 years, and maximum 30 years, as on August 1, 2019. Relaxation in upper age limit is 5 years for SC and ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD, 5 years for Ex-Servicemen, 5 years for persons ordinarily domiciled in JnK (during Jan 1 1980 to 31 Dec 1989), 5 years for persons affected by riots. Talking about eligibility, the educational qualification requirement is graduation in any discipline. Applicant must have valid mark sheet or degree certificate of graduation on the day of filling IBPS PO online application form 2019.
Applicants needs to convert CGPA / GPA to percentage as per conversion rule of college to fill percentage of marks in application form.
Application fee is Rs 100 for SC, ST, PWBD, and Rs 600 for all others. Payment modes available for fee payment will be debit cards (RuPay, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro), credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards, mobile wallet.
In application form, candidates need to upload four documents namely photograph, signature, left thumb impression, hand written declaration.
The preliminary exam will have three tests – english language, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability – of 20 minutes each. The first one will have 30 questions of 30 marks, and other two will have 35 questions of 35 marks each.
Main examination will have five sections – reasoning and computer aptitude (45 qs, 60 marks, 60 minutes), general / economy / banking awareness (40 qs, 40 marks, 35 minutes), english language (35 qs, 40 marks, 40 minutes), data analysis and interpretation (35 qs, 60 marks, 45 minutes), english language and precis writing (descriptive test with 2 qs, 25 marks, 30 minutes). In both tests there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks assigned to that question.
Interview of 100 marks will be held in January or February 2020. After that provisional allotment will be done in April 2020. For final merit listing, marks of mains exam and interview will be taken in the ratio 80:20.
