IBPS Clerk 2019 admit card

Today is the last date to register for IBPS Clerk 2019. After midnight, the link for new registration will be removed from ibps.in. Only those banking aspirants who will have submitted their application forms by the deadline, will be issued admit card for the preliminary exam.

The IBPS Clerk admit card 2019 will be issued in November. Exact date from when admit card will be available is not available. However by past year patterns it appears that the call letter will be available around November 25, 2019.

IBPS Clerk 2019 preliminary exam is scheduled to be held on four dates – December 7, 2019, December 8, 2019, December 14, 2019, and December 21, 2019. As the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection closes the online registration tonight, there are 3 months left for the preliminary exam.

Depending on factors like current aptitude level of aspirant, dedication level, and such factors, three months is believed to be a good stretch of time hone one’s skills to crack the IBPS exam. The starting point of this preparation would be knowing the syllabus.

IBPS Clerk 2019 preliminary exam will be a computer based test. It will include three tests namely english language, numerical ability, reasoning ability. There will be 30 questions of 30 marks in english language test. Then there will be 35 questions of 35 marks in numerical ability test. And reasoning ability will also have 35 questions of 35 marks.

Even though the number of questions are different in each, the time duration for each section will be 20 minutes only.

Marking scheme will be +1 for correct answer, and -0.25 for incorrect answer.

As regards to the preparation, the first thing to keep in mind is that IBPS has not specified any list of topics as a part of the syllabus. However one can refer topics recommended by candidates who appeared in the exams previously, or teachers and mentors who guide banking aspirants.

Study vocabulary, basic english grammar, comprehension, spotting errors, cloze test, fill in the gaps related questions for english language. Read newspapers daily. Know basic grammar rules.

For numerical ability, have a good grasp over topics like simplification, percentage, average, ratio and proportion, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, time speed and distance, time and work, number series, number system, and data interpretation.

Reasoning section will be quite broad. However topics like syllogisms, blood relations, puzzles, linear and circular seating arrangements, coded and mathematical inequalities, coding-decoding, distance and directions, analogy/classification are usually where questions are asked from.

A very important thing to crack IBPS Clerk 2019 is time management. You have only 20 minutes to solve 30 questions of english, and the same time to solve 35 questions each in the other two sections.

And the next important thing is to avoid negative marking. You can do this by improving your reading speed, calculation speed, and learning to stay calm and focused.

Practising questions regularly is the most recommended way of improving speed as well as accuracy. Marks obtained in prelims will not be counted for final merit; that will be on the basis of mains exam to be held on January 19, 2020.
