Intelligence Bureau (IB) has finally announced the result of MHA IB ACIO Tier 1. The much awaited result was announced on January 19 and with it, all the confusion regarding the Tier 2 exam date has also been cleared. The MHA IB ACIO Tier 2 exam will be held on February 25, 2018, and the qualifying candidates of it will be called for the interview round. Intelligence Bureau under Ministry of Human Affairs will fill 1430 post for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II (ACIO II Exe) on the basis of the performance in all the rounds.
IB ACIO Tier 2 exam is for 50 marks, in which candidates are to attempt Essay Writing and English Comprehension. Candidates only get 60 minutes to attempt both. Essay writing will be of 30 marks and remaining 20 marks are for English Comprehension and Precis Writing.
In comparison to Tier 1, there are fewer exam centers for Tier 2. The exam will only be held in Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, and Trivandrum. The test center allocated to the candidate will be informed through the admit card.
IB will soon issue admit card of IB ACIO Tier 2. It will be directly sent to the candidate’s registered e-mail id. However, there is also a possibility that the link to download it is also provided on the official website of the recruitment, http://www.recruitmentonline.in. Once the admit card has been sent, candidates need to check all the details in it and produce a hard copy of it. At the exam hall, electronic admit card will not be accepted.
The result of Tier 2 will also be announced online. However, to qualify the exam the candidates will have to score a minimum of 33%. This means that the candidates need to score at least 16.5 marks. If the result will be announced as pdf or through login has not been revealed by the conducting body.
For the interview, the candidates will be called on the basis of performance in Tier 1 and 2, combine. The interview round will be of 100 marks and the date, time, and center for it will be informed through application portal and e-mail. The assessment of candidates will be done at various levels during the interview. Hence, the candidates should be prepared for anything.
Candidates appearing for the interview are required to submit original documents and other relevant certificates. Applicants who do not have a degree at the time of interview must submit a proof of passing degree examination before recruitment process closing date. The applicant who is already in a Government Service or working with PSU must submit NOC at the time of interview.
The final selection will be done out of 250 marks, of which 100 will be for Tier 1, 50 for Tier 2, and 100 for the interview. Before the final allotment, the applicant will also be called for Character and Antecedent verification, followed by a medical examination.
All the applicants who fulfill the minimum marks after all the 3 rounds will be notified by email about their appointment. As soon as candidate completes the joining formalities they will get appointment letter. It will contain the joining date, place, etc.
Out of the total ACIO II Exe posts, 130 are reserved for ex-servicemen, 184 for candidates applying under OBC category, 109 for SC category candidates, and 56 posts are reserved for applicants who fall under ST category. Remaining 951 posts are for the unreserved category. Pay scale of all the candidates selected for the post of ACIO-II Exe is between Rs. 9300-34800 along with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 (PB-2).
