Today (December 01, 2018) at 01 am the Indian Air Force (IAF) has started the Candidate login for AFCAT 01/2019. The application form is available at afact.cdac.in. The application window will remain active till December 30, 2018. The AFCAT 01/2019 examination will be held on February 16, 17, 2019. The eligible and interested graduates in the age group of 20 to 24 years and 20 to 26 years can apply within 30 days.
Indian Air Force has introduced 163 vacancies in AFCAT 01/2019. A new change has been notified in AFCAT 01/2019, this time there is no intake through meteorology entry. The aspirants can gain entry in the Air Force through AFCAT and NCC only. The candidates can join the Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commision (SSC) as their preference. One thing should be noted here, in PC only man candidates are eligible, whereas in SSC male and female both types of candidates can apply.
The age limit for flying branch either by AFCAT of NCC is 20 to 24 years, whereas in Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch the candidates with the age limit of 20 to 26 years can apply.
The application form can be filled from the candidate’s login section on the official website. After doing login, the candidates have to complete the application form by entering the educational details, personal details, and course preference. At the same time, the candidates have to choose the examination center for AFCAT online examination. All the candidates have to pay the same application fee i.e. Rs. 250/-, via online payment window. Aspirants can use a Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking details to make payment.
All the registered candidates will be able to download the admit card for the online examination (AFCAT and EKT) from February 01, 2019. The candidates have to use the login credentials such as username and password to fetch the admit card.
The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is an online test, which also includes Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) for technical background candidates. In AFCAT 2019 there will be 100 questions of 300 marks and in EKT the 50 question of 150 marks will be asked. The candidates belonging to Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics branches have to appear in EKT. The duration of AFCAT and EKT is 02 hours, 45 minutes respectively.
After successful completion of the test, the result, score and cut off marks will be released on the official website. All the qualifiers have to appear in AFSB interview will be conducted in Dehradun, Mysuru, Gandhinagar, and Varanasi.
