Board of Secondary Education Haryana has released a notification for HTET 2019 today. As per the notification published at bseh.org.in, the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test will be held on November 16, 2019 and November 17, 2019. HTET level 1, 2, and 3 will be held on these dates.
HTET 2019 exam date announced by BSEH can be noted by teaching aspirants of Haryana now. Level 1 exam will be conducted for primary teacher, that is those who wish to teach classes I to V. Level 2 test will be for TGT teacher, that is the class VI to VIII teachers. And level 3 shall be for PGT lecturers.
Knowing the exam date, the question that teaching aspirants are asking now is, when will BSEH release HTET 2019 online application form? The notification released today only indicates the exam date. It is pertinent to note that the previous HTET exam was held on January 5 and 6, and the online application system for the same opened on November 19. If a similar schedule is followed this time, then it can be expected for the online application form to be available from around the end of September.
Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is the state level teacher eligibility test. It is conducted to ensure that only such individuals are appointed as teachers, who have suitable aptitude and ability for the profession. Therefore only candidates who qualify HTET become eligible for teaching positions in elementary, secondary, and senior secondary level.
Teaching aspirants in the state may now gear up for HTET 2019, and look forward to its detailed notification in leading dailies, and official website bseh.org.in. Last time, an eleven days window was given to apply. Simultaneously, applicants also got a twelve days window to do corrections in the application form. However it is advisable to fill correct details in form in one go.
Scheme, syllabus, educational qualification requirement shall be published in the information bulletin that will be released with the online application form. However since the exam pattern is not likely to vary from last time, the test is looked forward to be of two and a half hours duration having 150 questions of 150 marks.
The qualifying criteria of HTET is to get 60% marks for unreserved category of Haryana, and all categories of other state. Whereas the qualifying criteria is 55% for SC, ST, and differently abled candidates.
BSEH, through its notification today, said that as per the department’s notice issued in the month of July in 2011, the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is supposed to be held on the third Saturday and Sunday of November every year. In the previous exams, considering that at least 90 days are required in organizing the exam, the exam dates had been different.
Last year BSEH had initially decided to conduct HTET on December 22 and 23 in the year 2018. However the exam had to be postponed due to other exams scheduled by the board, and the new exam date was decided as the first Saturday and Sunday of January in the year 2019. Overall 3,32,366 candidates had appeared in HTET level 1, 2, and 3. A total of 14,934 candidates had passed. 8,766 out of 2,31,885 female applicants had passed, with a 3.8% pass percentage. Whereas 6,168 of the 1,00,478 of male applicants, that is 6.1% had passed.
