Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is organizing the recruitment process for Lecturer (School-New) post class III non gazetted post. HPPSC Lecturer recruitment 2019 has been made public vide advertisement no 22/2019 which was released today, on December 10, 2019, at hppsc.hp.gov.in. The commission has also started accepting applications in response to the notification through the same website.
HPPSC hereby invites applications to fill 396 vacancies in the post of Lecturer, in the department of higher education, HP. Eligible candidates can submit the online form by the closing date, that is December 30, 2019, till 11:59 pm.
From the total vacancies, the state PSC has reserved seats for scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), other backward class (OBC), economically weaker section (EWS), below poverty line (BPL) and for children or grandchildren of freedom fighters. Category wise there are 154 vacancies for UR, 81 for SC, 12 for ST, 65 for OBC, 49 for EWS, 27 for BPL and 8 for children of freedom fighters.
Candidates with a master’s degree in relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks can apply for HPPSC lecturer recruitment. Those who have a master’s degree in public administration stand eligible to apply for political science lecturer post. Moreover, the professional qualification requirement is to hold a bachelor’s degree in education with a minimum of 50% marks. The desirable qualification in candidates, that HPPSC will look for, is knowledge of customs, manner and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
Apart from fulfilling the educational qualification, candidates must also adhere to the age limit. Candidates should be a minimum of 18 years old and the maximum age permissible to be a school lecturer is 45 years.

HPPSC school lecturer recruitment 2019 application form is now available on the website, hppsc.hp.gov.in. On the home page scroll down to find the “apply online” section. Click on it and then access the “online application registration” link to apply online. For this, candidates first have to register themselves using a name, password, category, gender, email id and date of birth.
Once the registration is done select the ongoing recruitment and then fill the detailed application form, along with uploading the scanned image of photograph and signature in .jpg format with size not more than 40 Kb.
The application fee for this recruitment is Rs. 400 for general category including general physically disabled and EWS category candidates. For the HP domiciled SC, ST, OBC, BPL, EWS (BPL) the application fee is Rs. 100. The fee has to be paid online. However, there is no fee for the ex-servicemen of HP.
However, it must be noted that those candidates who have earlier paid the fee in accordance with the initial advertisement 18/2019 released on November 2, 2019, need not pay it again. Though, such candidates have to fill the application form again using their same login Id.
The HPPSC selection procedure includes the conductance of the written examination and evaluation of parameters for the selection of the candidates. It will be an objective type paper conducted either online or offline for a total of 85 marks. Those qualifying the examination will appear for the evaluation. The evaluation of the applicants will be of 15 marks. Based on the performance in the examination and evaluation of parameters decided by the govt. of HP, the final selection will be done. The selected candidates will be hired on a pay scale of Rs. 10,300 to Rs. 34,800.
