Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is going to conduct the Engineer recruitment examination on August 11, 2021, and August 12, 2021. The exam will be conducted for the 200 vacancies for different Engineer posts of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Civil departments. Ahead of the recruitment examination, HPCL has released the admit cards. The admit cards are issued through an official email to the only candidates who have successfully submitted their applications. HPCL will also upload the admit card for the exam on its official website hindustanpetroleum.com very soon.
HPCL sent an email about the admit card of the HPCL Engineer recruitment exam to the candidates. The mail consists of important details such as exam center address, exam schedule (date & timings), important guidelines to be followed during the exam, etc. The exam centers are allotted to the candidates based upon their choices which they have filled in the application form. As admit cards are issued and the exam date is also near, candidates are advised to get started with their exam preparation.
HPCL recruitment exam will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam will consist of two sections i.e. General aptitude, and Technical/Professional Knowledge. The exam will be of 170 marks and a total of 150 minutes will be given to the candidates for completing the exam. From the General Aptitude section, the question will be asked on the topics such as Intellectual Potential, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language whereas in the Technical/Professional Knowledge section, the questions will be asked from the subjects of the respective qualifying degree i.e. Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, and Electrical.
To pass the HPCL recruitment exam, candidates should at least have 50% marks in both sections. For general and EWS category candidates, the overall passing marks are 60% whereas, for OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD category candidates, the overall passing marks are 54%. Upon qualifying for this exam, candidates will be called for group tasks and personal interview rounds.
The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in CBT, group tasks, and personal interviews. While calculating the final scores, the organizing body will consider the 85% marks of CBT, 5% marks of a group task, and 10% marks of personal interview. Post final selection, candidates will be placed in any division of HPCL across India with a pay scale of Rs.50,000 to Rs.1,60,000 and the cost to the company will be Rs.15.17 lakhs approximately.
