After having postponed the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2020 exam for the subjects of Shastri TET and JBT TET, the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has now officially postponed the exams for all of the remaining subjects. In an official deferment notice released at the official website today, the Board has officially postponed the remaining exams for TGT (Non-Medical) TET, Punjabi TET, TGT (Arts) TET, TGT (Medical) TET, Language Teacher TET, and Urdu TET. The examinations were scheduled to be conducted on August 02, August 08, and August 09, 2020, in two consecutive shifts on every exam date. Fresh dates for conducting the postponed exams are expected to be announced by the HP Board of Secondary education in due course of time. The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education conducts the TET exam to certify candidates who pass the test as eligible for recruitment as a teacher in schools and elementary institutions of the state. This year, the official examination notice was released by the Board in June 2020. Accordingly, it was announced that the examination is to be conducted on separate dates in July and August 2020 for eight different subjects. The examination was scheduled to be conducted on July 26, August 02, August 08 and August 09 in two consecutive shifts from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM and 02.00 PM to 04.30 PM on each exam day. However, as per the latest postponement notice released by the Board today at the official website, the examinations for all of the eight papers are postponed till further notice. The Board has indicated that the examinations are postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the country and the schedule of the exam is to be released in due course of time. Incidentally, the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HP BOSE) recently postponed the exams for the first two papers i.e. Shastri TET and JBT TET which were scheduled to be held in the consecutive shifts on July 26, 2020. Official press note of postponement was released in this regard at the HP BOSE website a few days ago. However, during that time no comments were made by the Board regarding the remaining papers which were scheduled to be held in the month of August on the specified dates. Now with the release of the latest postponement notice, the Board has decisively deferred the exams for all the remaining papers i.e. TGT (Non-Medical) TET, Language Teacher TET, TGT (Arts) TET, TGT (Medical) TET, Punjabi TET, and Urdu TET.
