Following the footsteps of CBSE, Himachal Pradesh Board has also decided to postpone the Boards examination of the Class 10th and 12th. As per the recent notice released by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HP BOSE), the HP Board Exam 2021 for Class 10th and Class 12th stand postponed till May 17, 2021. The new schedule for the remaining subjects will be released shortly. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website hpbose.org to get the latest update on HP Board Exam 2021.
The examination for HP Board Class 10th was scheduled to take place from April 13, 2021, to April 28, 2021. Similarly, the 12th Board exam of HP state was scheduled to take place from April 13 2021 to May 10, 2021. With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases across the country, it has become difficult to conduct the exam offline with a large number of candidates appearing. The Government of Himachal Pradesh is also concerned about the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state. Hence, The Board and Government of Himachal Pradesh state have decided to postpone the Boards and undergraduate exam of the state.
However, the HP Board Exam 2021 for class 10 and class 12 has already started on April 13, 2021. As of now, the exam of Hindi subject has concluded for HP Board 10th exam 2021. Similarly, the HP Board has successfully conducted the English exam for Class 12th. Students who appeared for these exams were worried about their answer keys for their exam. On this, HPBOSE has stated that “The Examination material (question paper, answer sheets, and other relevant exam material) will be kept safe”.
The new HP Board Exam date 2021 for Class 10th will be out soon. Also, the revised schedule with HP Board exam date 2021 for class 12 will be released soon on the official website of HPBOSE, hpbose.org.
Along with the postponement of the Class 10th, 12th and Undergraduate exam, HPBOSE has also postponed HP State Open School (HPSOS) exam. Now, the HPSOS exam for classes 08th, 10th and 12th are postponed till May 17, 2021. A revised schedule for HP SOS will be published in the due course of time. This is not the first time a state board has postponed the Boards examination. Maharashtra Board, Madhya Pradesh Board, UP Board has recently postponed the Boards exam 2021 due to COVID-19. Also, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the Class 10th Board exam whereas, the 12th board exams are postponed.
