Yesterday, May 23, 2021, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank conducted a big meeting to decide the future of Boards examination. In the virtual meeting, the Centre has suggested two options to state to conduct Boards Exam. The first option is to conduct the exam within a period of three months – one month of pre-exam activities and two months for the exam and result declaration. Another 30 days for the compartment exam. The examination will be held only for major subjects and marks for minor subjects will be given based on major subjects performance.
The second option is to take a 90 minutes exam in 19 major subjects. Students have to appear in one language exam and three elective subjects only. On the basis of their performance in these subjects, the result of the 5th and 6th subject will be assessed.
