Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has suggested conducting the Haryana 12th Boards Exam 2021 from June 15, 2021. On Sunday, the Education Minister of Haryana said the State Board is ready to organize board examinations. It is expected that the 12th Boards exam in the state will take place for 05 days starting from June 15 to June 20, 2021. However, the Board awaits a final decision from the centre.

Earlier, the Haryana Board has announced to conduct the HBSE 12th Board exam from June 01, 2021. However, the schedule got postponed owing to the COVID-19 situation. The state has informed the Union Minister that they can start the board examination next month. Kanwar Pal, Education Minister of Haryana, has added that they are fully prepared to conduct the 12th Boards examination in the state considering all the COVID-19 guidelines.  He further added that candidates who will not be able to take the examination due to COVID-19 will get a chance later on.

The Haryana Board will be releasing the HBSE 12th Board Exam Date 2021 at least 20 days prior to the start of the examination. However, the decision is still pending. Kanwar Pal is looking forward to the centre accepting the suggestion made by the Board. Thereafter, they will start the preparations to conduct the Haryana Boards Exam safely in the state. The Boards exam will be conducted with strict COVID-19 protocols to maintain the health and safety of the students. However, students are suggested to wait for the final decision by Haryana Board.

The Education Minister of Haryana has said that some of the states have suggested to decrease the time duration of the board exam. Earlier the exam was conducted for 03 hours. Now, due to coronavirus, the duration of the exam should be decreased to 01 hour 30 minutes. Kanwar Pal said if students are visiting the exam centre, there is no point to decrease the duration of the exam.

Yesterday, May 23, 2021, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank conducted a big meeting to decide the future of Boards examination. In the virtual meeting, the Centre has suggested two options to state to conduct Boards Exam. The first option is to conduct the exam within a period of three months – one month of pre-exam activities and two months for the exam and result declaration. Another 30 days for the compartment exam. The examination will be held only for major subjects and marks for minor subjects will be given based on major subjects performance.

The second option is to take a 90 minutes exam in 19 major subjects. Students have to appear in one language exam and three elective subjects only. On the basis of their performance in these subjects, the result of the 5th and 6th subject will be assessed.
