Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board (GSEB) has released GUJCET 2019 Result on its official website, gsebht.in. The result has been announced on May 09, 2019. About 1.34 lakh candidates appeared for GUJCET 2019 test for engineering, medical and pharmacy degree colleges based in Gujarat.
To check the result of GUJCET 2019, the candidates need to visit the official website and look for the GUJCET 2019 Result link. On clicking that link, a candidate needs to enter their 6 digit seat number and press the “Go” button to proceed. After logging in, a candidate needs to save a copy of the GUJCET 2019 scorecard for admission purpose.
GSEB has prepared the GUJCET 2019 Result by following the prescribed marking scheme, that is, +1 mark for every correct answer and -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. Further, the University declares the cut off marks which needs to be secured by every candidate in order to be selected for admission. This minimum qualifying mark is fixed by GSEB considering a variety of factors which are the number of applicants, GUJCET difficulty level, previous year’s trends and the number of seats available.
On the basis of GUJCET 2019 individual scores, GSEB prepares a rank list, separately for all the courses and category candidates. The GUJCET rank list is prepared by giving 60% of weightage to marks secured in the qualifying level of exam and 40% of weightage to the marks secured in GUJCET 2019.
Note that, GSEB is not responsible for conducting GUJCET 2019 counseling. Rather, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) conducts this final round. The exact date of GUJCET counseling shall be conveyed to the selected candidates over the official website.
Selected candidates need to report to the allotted center at an allotted date and time for this round, along with few documents. These documents are GUJCET 2019 admit card, mark sheets of Class 10 & 12, migration or transfer certificate, GUJCET 2019 scorecard, passport size photographs, and category certificate (if applicable). Failing to do so, a candidature of a candidate is canceled and is passed on to the next best candidate.
Gujarat Common Entrance Test, popularly known as GUJCET is conducted for a duration of 3 hours in offline mode. This year, GUJCET was conducted across 34 districts on April 26, 2019, from 10 am to 04 pm. This exam is conducted for engineering course admission in the State of Gujarat.
