Maharashtra Postal Circle, India Post has published notification for recruitment to the post of Gramin Dak Sevak against 3,650 vacancies. The postal circle has also released registration and application form in online mode. The last date to register and apply is November 30, 2019.

In order to apply for the job, one should be class 10th pass with Marathi or Konkani as one of the subjects. The latter will be required against Goa region, whereas Marathi will be sufficient for remaining Maharasthra.

This Maharashtra Postal Circle recruitment 2019 comes under the 2nd cycle of online engagement 2019. This is important to note because a candidate is allowed to apply for at max 20 posts all over India per cycle of online engagement, including that in home circle.

Eligible candidates need to head over to appost.in, which is the official website of India Post, Ministry of Communications. Then check the steps to apply section. Here, they will not only get to know how to apply, but also get the direct links to register, pay fee, apply online.

The first step is to register. Registration is required only once per cycle to get the unique registration ID. So those who have already registered once in the 2nd cycle (current one) need not do it again. Then second step is to pay fee. The fee amount is Rs 100 for UR, OBC, EWS males for each set of 5 options. Females, PWD are exempt from fee. Last step is to apply online that is to fill details in form, upload documents, submit post preferences. In the end, applicant should check, submit, and take a printout of the form.

Only marks obtained in class 10th will be used for the purpose of selection. Higher education beyond that point will not play a role in India post recruitment 2019 for Maharashtra, or any other state for that matter.

Maharashtra postal circle shall compile a merit list on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in class 10th. Tie breaking will be on the basis of age. The notification says, regarding selection, ” If a candidate opts for five posts with preference post1, post2, post3, post4, post5 etc and selected as meritorious in more than one post, the post in the order of preference will be offered and the candidature for all the remaining posts will be forfeited. Similarly in case of a candidate joins at any selected post, offers to the remaining choices will automatically be forfeited. If a candidate has applied for more than one circle only one post will be offered per circle.”

If a candidate is provisionally selected, then he or she will get an sms. After that he or she will have to attend document verification, and final selection will be conveyed after that.

India Post recruitment 2019 is also going on for Andhra Pradesh with 2707 vacancies, Chhattisgarh with 1799 vacancies, and Telangana with 970 vacancies. The last date to register for them is November 14, 2019, and the last date to apply for them is November 21, 2019.
