Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2019

Government jobs for 10th pass candidates are quite popular in India. On one hand, there are several such opportunities in the central and state government, defence jobs after matriculation are few. Indian Coast Guard, Ministry of Defence has provided one such rare option, for the Navik Domestic Branch (DB) posts.

Indian Coast Guard Navik DB recruitment 2019 notification has been released for 10th entry for 01/2020 batch. There are two posts in this recruitment, cook and steward.

Online application form will be available from October 30, 2019, to November 8, 2019. Only Indian males can apply. The form will be available at joinindiancoastguard.gov.in.

Indian coast guard invites the application of Indian male candidates for the post of Navik Domestic Branch (cook and steward). Application process will start on the last Wednesday of this month. Candidates have to apply online at joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. Last date to apply for Navik (DB) is the second Friday of November. Examination

Such candidates shall be eligible for Navik (DB) who have passed 10th class with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board of education. 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates, outstanding sports person of national level who have secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position. The age limit for Navik (DB) 01/2020 is 18 years to 22 years as on April 1, 2020. SC/ST candidates will get upper age relaxation of 5 years and 3 years for OBC candidates.

To apply, candidates have to go to the official website and click the “opportunities” button. In the form, they have enter all the details correctly, and keep in mind that those fields with star mark are mandatory.

The form filing process also involves uploading photograph and signature in .jpeg format. Herein the applicant has to ensure that the size of images are as per specifications. Usually the asked specifications are between 10 kb to 40 kb and 10 kb to 30 kb for photograph and signature respectively. Upon successful submission of the online form, the system generates and shows a unique application or registration number. 

ICG recruitment 2019 for Navik DB involves a process where first candidates are shortlisted center wise. Different cut off shall apply for different states and centers. Those who meet the cut off requirement are issued e-admit card through the website. On the other hand, rejected candidates are given a rejection slip. Said slip shows the cause of rejection with the application number. 

A written examination will be conducted which will be objective. Those who qualify the written examination will undergo physical fitness test (PFT). Candidates who qualify PFT qualify for initial medical examination (Pre). Those who qualify all the stages will be selected and their names will be displayed in select list. Zone wise list will be prepared and displayed for selection.

Examination centers for Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2019 are divided zone wise, among northern zone, north-eastern zone, eastern zone, western zone, north west zone. Respective centers will be in Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Gandhinagar.
