The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa has announced the exam date of the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2021. The exam will be held on May 4 and 5, 2021, for admission in B.E and B.Pharm courses. It has been also notified that the exam will be held across various centers across Goa.
In the exam, the questions will be framed for the syllabus of class 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as prescribed by the Goa Board. The exam of Physics and Chemistry will be held on May 4, 2021, and on May 5, 2021, the exam for Maths will be held. On day 1, Physics will be held from 10 am to 12 noon and the Chemistry exam will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. On day 2, the Maths exam will be held from 10 am to 12 noon.
The students who want to take admission in the B.Pharm course in the colleges of Goa, do not need to appear for the Maths paper of GCET 2021. However, for admission in B.E courses, candidates have to take all the 3 papers.

GCET will not be applicable for admission in B.Arch courses, MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences(Paramedical), B.Sc. in Nursing & B.V.Sc.&A.H. courses.
Admission in MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences(Paramedical), B.Sc. in Nursing & B.V.Sc.&A.H. courses will be based on NEET 2021 exam. On the other hand, the admission in B.Arch course will be based on NATA 2021.
Goa CET 2020 is a state-level entrance examination conducted for various professional degree courses like UG engineering and pharmacy admissions. The candidate will get admission to government/aided engineering colleges of Goa state.
Last year, candidates who had passed 12th examination from Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with 45% of marks were allowed to apply for the exam. The mode of the exam last year was pen and paper based.
