Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) has started registration of GITAM Admission Test (GAT). The application forms are available at gat.gitam.edu and candidates can also apply offline, via post. The last date of registration is March 30, 2020, and the examination will be held in the month of April.
Admission are open for various courses in the field of engineering, pharmacy and architecture. The courses offered are B.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Tech, M.Pharma and M.Arch. It must also be noted that the college does not provide bachelors in architecture through GAT but the master’s course only. For the admission in these courses university conducts its own entrance exam called GITAM Admission Test (GAT).
For appearing in the exam candidates must adhere to the eligibility criteria set by the college. For admission to the undergraduate programs, one must have a first-class in 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum of 60% marks and if applying for B.pharm it is 50% marks . Eligibility criteria for the postgraduate courses is that a candidate shall have a first-class in the qualifying examination from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks if opting for B.tech and 50% for M.pharm and M.arch. The eligible candidates can fill the application form available both online and offline.
To fill the online application form one must visit the official website of the college which is gat.gitam.edu. On the main page of the site, click on the “apply now” tab. Soon after this instruction page on how to fill the form gets generated. Read the instruction and alongside one will be able to find the new registration window. Fill the candidate’s name, mobile number, email id and password to do the registration and fill the detailed application form.
In the application form, applicants have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature. The sizes of both the images should lie in between 4 kb to 50 kb in jpg/jpeg format.
Against the application form, one has to submit the requisite amount pertaining to the online form. The fee for availing the form is Rs. 800 which can be paid either online using net banking, credit card or debit card or offline using demand draft drawn in favour of GITAM payable at Visakhapatnam to the Director-Admissions, GITAM Deemed to be University, Gandhinagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam–530045, Andhra Pradesh, India. Must to note that candidates should write their application number on the backside of the demand draft.
If someone wants to apply offline then the university has also provided the provision for the same. Candidates can obtain the offline form either by sending a request for getting an offline form on plain white paper having their name and complete mailing address on it. The request has to be sent to the director admission along with a DD of Rs. 150 till March 25, 2020.
Apart from this, offline application form is also available throughout India in selected branches of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank. the filled-in application form along with the DD of Rs. 800 has to be sent on the mentioned address on before March 30, 2020.
