General Insurance Corporation of India has published notification for Assistant Manager recruitment 2019. The tenth largest reinsurance company in the world, invites online applications to fill twenty five vacancies of scale-I officers in the cadre of assistant managers. Registrations for the recruitment have taken off from today. The same will remain open up until the last date of September 11.
GIC assistant manager 2019 online application form is available at GIC of India website. Application fee is Rs 500.
The selection process of GIC assistant manager recruitment 2019 shall comprise of an online exam which is tentatively scheduled to be held on October 5. Ten days prior to exam, the corporation will issue call letters to applicants.
GIC will conduct online test at Guwahati, Muzzafarnagar, Patna, Chandigarh, Mohali, New Delhi, NCR, Ranchi, Bengaluru, Mysore, Cochin, Thrissur, Bhopal, Indore, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Hyderabad, Allahabad, Lucknow, Asansol, Kolkata, Siliguri.
The online test will have three parts namely A, B, and C. Part A and B will be objective, and C will be descriptive.
For specialists other than Hindi officer, the part A will be technical and professional knowledge test in relevant discipline with 40 questions of 40 marks. Part B will have four sections with 20 questions of 20 marks each. These sections will be reasoning, english, general awareness, numerical ability and computer literacy. Part C will have 3 questions of total 30 marks, that will be a test in english language comprising of essay, precise, and comprehension.
Hindi officer test will have part A on technical and professional knowledge test with 40 questions of 40 marks. Herein the questions will be a mix of hindi and english grammar and vocabulary, as well as knowledge of act and rules of official language implementation. Then part B will have three sections with 20 questions of 20 marks each. The sections will be reasoning, translation, general awareness. Part C will have 5 questions of total 50 marks on hindi language. Here will be questions on essay, precise, comprehension, translation, typing, UNICODE.
Thus one paper will have 123 questions of 150 marks. And the other will have 105 of 150 marks. Negative marking of one-fourth shall be applicable in objective questions. The minimum qualifying marks in online test has been set as 60% for general and OBC, 50% for SC and ST.
Final selection will be on the basis of marks in online test, GD, and interview. Total score in these steps shall be at least 60% for general, OBC, and 50% for SC, ST in order to qualify.
Vacancies for this recruitment are segregated stream or discipline wise. Finance and accounts has 9 vacancies, information technology has 2, legal has 6. Then there is 1 vacancy in automobile engineering, 1 in civil engineering, 2 in aeronautical engineering. Marine engineering has 1 vacancy, company secretary has 2, and hindi has 1.
B.Com degree is the minimum educational requirement for finance and accounts, BE/B.Tech in IT or CS or MCA is needed for IT, LLB/ BL is necessary for legal. BE/B.Tech in automobile engineering is needed for its namesake, again UG engineering degree in civil is necessary for civil engineering, and that in aeronautical, marine are respectively needed for aeronautical and marine engineering. An ACS / FCS from ICSI and graduation is necessary for company secretary. PG in hindi with english as a subject or PG in english with hindi as a subject is required for hindi.
Category wise distribution of vacancies is: 11 for general, 2 for EWS, 3 for SC, 2 for ST, 7 for OBC.
GIC shall recruit candidates who are between twenty one to thirty years old as on August 21. This limit is relaxed by five years for SC and ST. three years for OBC, ten years for PWD.
