Interesting Statistics for GATE 2021 Exam
Director, IIT Bombay is quite active on his Facebook page (his page handle is directoriitbombay). Recently he provided some insights into the GATE 2021 registration statistics.
As per his note, the youngest person to have applied for GATE exam is a 15 year old, and the oldest is 88 years old.

The update was liked, shared, commented by many. Some feel that it is a possibility that actually 15 or 88 year olds have not applied, but they could be forms with incorrect data. In that case, either the candidate is waiting for form correction or applied separately. There is no clarification on this point yet. Though this serves more as an interesting piece of information than an impactful data.
Nevertheless the IITB Director goes on to appreciate the response to the new courses – Environmental Science, Humanities – these are the 2 new papers introduced this year.
GATE 2021 admit card will be released on January 8, 2021. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14, 2021. The schedule containing date wise, shift wise papers will be revealed in some time.
