GATE 2019 Registration Started 1 Day Early; GOAPS Launched at gate.iitm.ac.in

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has started GATE 2019 Registration now at gate.iitm.ac.in. The registration was due to begin from September 01 but IIT has started it 1 day early on August 31, 2018. Candidates who are eligible can now visit the website and fill application form from GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). The application process is to be completed before September 21, 2018. However, even after the last date candidates can apply for GATE 2019 but with an additional late fee of Rs. 500/- until October 01, 2018.

To apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, access GOAPS portal and  enter their name, e-mail address, country, phone number and password. After the registration process, the candidates will be provided a username ID and Password. After entering their Username and Password, candidates can fill the GATE 2019 Application Form. Candidates will have to fill the personal details, communication and educational details in the application form. Candidates are required to choose the exam city. After filling the necessary details, candidates will have to upload the scanned image of photograph and signature in prescribed dimensions.

After the registration process, candidates will have to pay an application fee. The application fee for GATE 2019 is Rs. 750/- for SC, ST, PWD and female candidates. The fee for the rest of the candidates is Rs. 1500/-. It is to be noted that that the candidates will have to pay for the application form before the lapse of the deadline. After the lapse of the deadline, candidates are required to pay Rs. 1250/- (for SC, ST & PwD candidates) and Rs. 2000/- (for UR Category).

It is to be noted that a new subject has been added to the already existing 23 subjects. The new subject is Statistics. Candidates can appear for only one paper which has to be selected from the listed 24 subjects.

It is to be kept in mind that only eligible candidates can apply for GATE 2019. The governing authority has made certain rules and regulations for the students who want to apply for GATE 2019 and students have to abide by those regulations.

The GATE 2019 examination will be conducted in online mode only. The examination will take place in two sessions, first from 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM and then from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM on February 02, 03, 09 and 10, 2019.

IIT Madras will conduct GATE 2019 all over India and in abroad too. The international centers for GATE 2019 are Colombo (Sri Lanka), Kathmandu (Nepal), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Singapore, Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). The test centres of India for GATE 2019 are given below:

GATE 2019 Exam CentersThe students can request for the change in the test centers on November 16, 2018 (Friday) if they wish to do so after the submission of the application form. It is to be jotted down that the while requesting for the change in test centres, candidates will have to pay a certain amount of money for requesting a change.

The admit card for GATE 2019 will also be available at online portal only in other words, on the main website of IIT Madras on January 04, 2019. The admit cards will be issued for all the eligible candidates who have successfully completed the application form and paid the fee. The result for GATE 2019 will also be released online, on the official website of IIT Madras on March 16, 2019.
