Free UPSC Coaching at DACE, IGNOU – Here’s The How and Who for This Opportunity

A total of 100 candidates will be selected for the free coaching. Out of the total seats, 33% has been reserved for women candidates.

The Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be providing free coaching to all the Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates for the competitive Civil Services Examination. As such, the university is now inviting online applications from interested candidates who belong to the SC category. For more details regarding the application form, candidates must head straight to the official website – dace.ignouonline.ac.in. The last date for submitting the application form is June 30, 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission for the UPSC coaching at IGNOU DACE will be strictly for the SC category candidates. They must have a minimum of a graduation degree. However, the ones who are appearing in the final year exams of the graduation degree must submit their pass certificate at the time of commencement of the program. Additionally, they must provide their duly attested caste certificate that is issued by the competent authority. Selected candidates for the free UPSC coaching will be given the opportunity only once despite the chances available to them.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be admitted for the free UPSC coaching at DACE, IGNOU based on an All India Entrance Exam. A total of 100 objective-type questions will be asked in the exam. These questions will mainly test the candidates’ General Knowledge, Language Skills, Reasoning Abilities and General Aptitude. After the test, a list of successful candidates will be released that will be purely based on merit. Out of the total of 100 seats, 33% of them will be reserved for women.

How to register?

The DACE registration form can be filled over three parts. In the first part, the candidate has to insert all their personal details while in the second part, they have to add their qualification and experiences. In the third stage, they can preview the form and do the final submission. The documents that will be required while filling out the registration form are:

  • Aadhaar card and caste certificate in PDF format
  • Passport-sized photo, signature qualification certificate in JPG format

Candidates must note that the file sizes of these documents should be less than 25 MB. They have to upload a minimum of three qualification certificates which are class 10, 12 and graduation. If anyone has applied before, then they should check the registration status. This initiative by UPSC will play a significant role in the holistic development of the candidates.
