FCI Tamil Nadu has 55 vacancies; This is how you can apply

All the 8th standard qualified candidates seeking a job can apply for the vacancies of announced by The Food Corporation of India (FCI) Tamil Nadu. A total of 55 vacancies is announced for the post of watchman for their offices in Tamil Nadu region. The candidates can expect a salary in which may vary from Rs. 8100 to 18070. The application process has commenced from 17 July 2017. Eligible job seekers can know about FCI Watchman Recruitment 2017 and apply online.

The total no. of vacancies are broken up category wise with 29 posts for Unreserved, 15 posts for the OBC category, 10 posts for the SC category and 1 post for the ST category. 13 posts are horizontally reserved for Ex- Servicemen and 2 for Person with Disability (PWD).

Candidates who have passed their 8th standard by 1 July 2017 will be eligible. Candidates should obtain their passing certificate by 1 July 2017 if they haven’t already. In the case of failure to obtain the passing certificate candidates won’t be eligible to apply for the post.

Candidates within the age of 18 to 25 years can apply for the post on the official website fcijobportaltn.com. Once, successfully applied for the post candidates will have to appear for a written test on 20 August 2017. Candidates shortlisted after the written test will have to appear for physical endurance test (PET).

A total 10 locations are available as test centres for the written exam which include Chennai, Vellore, Madurai, Trichy etc. The written test will be 2 hours offline (pen-paper based) test with 100 MCQs to be answered. The paper is divided into 4 sections with equal weight namely General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mathematics, English Grammar and Language. 1 Mark will be awarded for every correct answer and 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Candidates shortlisted for the physical endurance test will be informed about the venue directly and through the website as well. The test will require the candidates to perform certain physical tasks like a long jump, high jump and running.

Candidates who wish to apply can submit their applications on the official website fcijobportaltn.com from 17 July 2017 onwards to 8 August 2017. The candidates will be required to fill their personal details, educational qualifications and upload images of relevant documents in the application form. The candidates will have to submit an application fee of Rs. 250

The admit card is expected to be uploaded on the official website on 16 August 2017. The candidates will have to carry their admit card along with an id proof to the exam centre. Any changes in the dates and test centres will be uploaded on the official website.
