FCI Recruitment 2019 notification released for Assistant Grade III, Check how to apply

Though assistant grade 3 is a popular post in FCI recruitment 2019, this time the vacancies are only for sports personnel.

Food Corporation of India is inviting offline applications from meritorious male sports personnel to fill two vacancies of Assistant Grade-III (General/Depot). Payscale of the candidates will be as prescribed by IDA, which is Rs 28200-79200. Candidates applying for the post should be Indian nationals from cricket or football background.

FCI will accept applications in offline mode until December 16, 2019. From JK, northeastern states, applications will however be received until December 23, 2019.

Age of the candidates applying for the post should remain between 18 to 27 years as on 01 August 2019. Relaxation of 05 years is given to the candidates who are from SC, ST category. OBC candidates get an age relaxation of 03 years. Graduation in any stream from a recognized university as well as proficiency in using computers is a must. Relaxation in educational qualifications will be given to candidates who have an exceptional sports background.

Once the applications are received on the prescribed date, Food Corporation of India will scrutinize them. The candidates will be shortlisted to appear for interviews, trials and verification of their original documents. Candidates appearing in the selection procedure will not be given any TA/DA.

Selected candidates will get posted in either FCI zonal office or West Zone which consists of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Gujarat regions. Candidates who are employed in PSU, state, central Government and are willing to apply for this post have to send the form through the prescribed channel. All candidates have to send the application form before the last date, as notified. From them, direct applications will not be accepted.

How to apply for FCI Assistant Grade III recruitment 2019 for sports personnel?

Application forms are available for download on fci.gov.in/archivepressrelease.php web page. Candidates have to download, print, and fill requisite details in the same. After filling the forms correctly candidates have to sign it. Then, attach photocopy of age, qualification, caste and sports achievements documents with the application form. Thereafter safely keep it in a sealed envelope. “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSTT. GRADE-III (GENERAL) UNDER SPORTS QUOTA-Discipline (Cricket/Football)” should be clearly written or printed on the envelope.

Envelope with the application form has to be sent through ordinary or registered or speed post to this address: The Secretary (Zonal Sports Promotion Committee), Food Corporation of India, Zonal Office (West), FCI New Building, Rajendra Nagar, Dattapada Road, Borivali (E), Mumbai-66.

Candidates have to ensure that application forms reaches the address on or before the last date. Corporation cannot be held responsible for postal or any other kind of delay. Hence candidates have to ensure that they post the application form as early as possible, without waiting for the last date to arrive.
