3 Ways to Edit CAT 2018 Application Form

The CAT 2018 Registration has been started from August 08, 2018. As per reports, candidates who are filling the forms are facing some issues regarding editing of CAT 2018 application form. Candidates need not worry, as here are three ways to edit CAT 2018 Application Form. First, you can change the details in the form prior to fee submission. Second, you may have to register again before the last date of application. Third, you can edit data after the submission of fee.

In the first case, if a candidate has made an errata, then, in that case, you can change the information as many times you want. Though such a facility is available only before the final submission of the form. Aspirants can change the academic details, test centers, programmes selected and other data in the form. The registration details a student cannot change even before fee submission are candidates name, state, date of birth, email id and phone number.

In case you find that you have entered wrong registration details then you have to apply for CAT 2018 again. So, if you have time and the last date is not over then fill the form once more with a new email id. The new registration number will only be applicable for future process. To save yourself from paying the fee twice, it is advisable that you submit the form after checking it twice.

The third case is applicable when the last date for application is over or you have already paid the fee. So, in case there are mistakes apart form registration details, then you may have to wait for CAT 2018 Application Form correction Window. In this time period, students can edit information like Percentage of marks obtained, Work Experience, Program Names, and Test Centers for Interview. The window is expected to open 10 days after the last date of registration. It will remain open for a limited time period of 3 days. After that, no request for a change in the information will be entertained.

As of now, it is not confirmed if the exam conducting body will open the CAT 2018 Application Form correction Window. They may or may not open the window for correction. Though from the last two years the exam conducting IIM has been opening this facility for the convenience of candidates. So, we can expect that the edit application window will also open this year.

As a piece of advice, you must not wait for the window to open. Remember to read important points before CAT registration and fill the form correctly. In a 43 days window, fill the form patiently and keep the track of the last date of registration which is September 19, 2018. The registration is is Rs.950/- for SC/ST/PWD Category Candidates and Rs. 1900/- Other Category Candidates.
