Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Puducherry is inviting eligible candidates for the post of Stenographer Grade-II posts. The official notification for the same is released recently on dpar.py.gov.in. DPAR, Puducherry has announced 22 vacancies for the said posts. The competitive examination for Stenographer Grade-II post is tentatively scheduled to be held in the last week of October 2020. Applications are invited only from the natives/residents of Puducherry Union Territory. Candidates can submit the forms before August 31, 2020.
Candidates who have passed 12th standard or equivalent are eligible for Stenographer post. They must have qualified Stenography in English in the Lower grade, typewriting in Tamil or Malayalam or Telugu in Lower case, typewriting in English in a Higher grade. Age of the candidate should be between 18 years to 32 years as on August 31, 2020. Age limit is relaxable for the MBC, SC, OBC BCM, BT, Ex-servicemen, EBC, Persons with a disability, Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women separated from their husbands who are not remarried and meritorious sports person.
Interested and eligible candidates can download the application form from the official website of dpar.py.gov.in. The duly filled form along with self-attested copies of certificates and documents should be sent to “The Under Secretary to Gov. (DP&AR), Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Wing), Chief Secretariat, Puducherry-605001”. Applications must superscribe the cover with “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF STENOGRAPHER GRADE-II”.
Along with the application form, candidates have to enclose a birth certificate, educational qualification documents, technical qualification certificates/ documents, native certificate, resident certificate, community certificate and PwD certificate. Ex-servicemen candidates have to submit discharge certificate and ID card registration. Meritorious Sports Person has to submit the list of sports certificates they have won. They have to submit the forms and self-attested copies of relevant documents by superscribing the cover as “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF STENOGRAPHER GRADE-II UNDER MSP QUOTA CATEGORY”.
The selection of the candidates is done through the competitive examination. It includes Part A (Stenography Test) and Part B (Typewriting Test). The stenography test is conducted for the 100 marks. It includes a dictation test in English at a speed of 80 words per minute for 10 minutes. Typewriting Test is conducted for a maximum of 50 marks in which candidates have to opt a regional language. They have to attempt the test in the regional language at a speed of 30 words per minute for 10 minutes. The final merit list for the examination is prepared based on the marks secured in both Part A and Part B.
