The online application forms for Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) UG 2019 will be available at dasanit.org form April 02, 2019, 8 PM onwards. The DASA 2019 is to be conducted by National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. All Foreign Nationals/ NRI candidates interested to take admission to various IITs, NITs, SPAs, and other premier engineering institutes can apply for DASA until June 11, 2019.
Furthermore, to apply for DASA 2019 a candidate must have passed 10+2 level of the exam with Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following subjects – Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology with a minimum of 60% or 6.50 CGPA. Also, the candidates must have a minimum of 1800 SAT score the scorecard of which is to be sent to NITK, Surathkal.
Steps to submit DASA 2019 Application Form
In order to apply for DASA 2019 candidates must follow a few steps that are explained here. To start with the five-step process candidates will have to register themselves at the very first step. Now, to register, enter your email id and captcha code. Submit the same by clicking the “Create my account” button.
Next, the candidate will have to log in with the email address and password. In the application form enter details required. Candidates will have to upload some of the documents in the next step after filling the form.
In the application form, candidates will have to photograph of size 3.5cmx3.5cm and file size should be < 100kB. For all other documents to be submitted that are signature the file size should be <100 kB and should be in JPG /JPEG format (the size of each document file should be <500 kB Colour/ B&W/Gray Scale).
Now, after filling all the required details in the form candidates must preview the form in order to check any mistakes. Application form once submitted cannot be edited later by the candidates.
Finally, candidates will have to pay the application form fee using SWIFT Transfer or E-payment gateways. The fee amount to be paid by a candidate is US $ 300 for CIWG, DASA(Non-SAARC) and DASA (SAARC) candidates.
Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is s a government scheme, launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The motive of the scheme is to impart admission to Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin/ Non-Resident Indians/Overseas Citizen of India to undergraduate programmes in technical institutes.
