In a first, Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited (CVPPPL) has announced CVPP recruitment through GATE 2020 for as many as 20 vacant positions of Trainee Engineer (Civil) E1 level. The Civil Engineering graduates can find the detailed advertisement (CVPPPL/HR/Rectt/2019/02) at the official website (cvppindia.com) even as the online application process is to begin on 1st January, 2020.
The CVPPPL needs to recruit a total of 45 Trainee Civil Engineers in three phases. This is the first phase, where selection for 20 Trainee Engineers (Civil) will be made on the basis of GATE 2020 scores.

The applicants should have a B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum score of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in the qualifying degree exam. Further, the candidates should be in the age group of 18-40 years as on 31st December, 2020.
Those who are in the final year of their engineering degree will not be allowed to apply for the CVPP recruitment through GATE 2020.
However, those who have an AMIE in Civil Engineering can also apply for the CVPP Civil Engineering recruitment provided they secure 60% marks in the qualifying exam.
Some of other PSUs don’t accept AMIE as an equivalent Engineering degree, so this recruitment can be a good opportunity for the candidates who have an AMIE.
The application for CVPP recruitment 2020 will be online and candidates will be given a registration window of one month. The application process will begin on 1st January and end on 31st January 2020. The applications can be made by visiting the official website (cvppindia.com).
The candidates will also need to pay an application fee of Rs 500 for the CVPP recruitment 2020. However, if the candidates belong to reserved categories including SC/ST/PwD/EWS or are female, they will be exempted from paying any application fees. Moreover, the application fees need to be paid online as no other offline payment options including Demand Draft, Cheque, Postal Order will be entertained.
The applicants will be shortlisted basis their GATE 2020 scores, which means that they will need to qualify the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering for CE paper. The CVPPPL will determine selection cutoff for the final recruitment as there will be no personal interview and group discussion process.
In case the score of two or more candidates are equal, the order of merit will be decided on the basis of age, wherein the older candidate will be given preference.
The candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) will be given an upper age relaxation of 3 years, while those from SC/ST category will be given relaxation of 5 years, and 10 years for PwD, 13 years for PwD (OBC) and 15 years for PwD (SC/ST) category candidates.
The selected candidates joining the CVPPPL at E1 level will be remunerated in a pay scale of Rs 40000-140000 (3% yearly increment) and at E2 level with a remuneration of Rs 50000-160000 (3% yearly increment).
The final selected candidates will need to execute a four-year service agreement bond against an amount of Rs 1.25 lakhs (Rs 75000 for SC/ST/EWS). Additionally, the candidates will also be required to furnish a Surety Bond to be executed on non-judicial stamp paper of the requisite value.
