Cochin University Of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has released the application form to apply for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 for admission in the B.Tech courses offered by the University. The admission is based on CUSAT CAT scores. The application form fill up window will remain open until February 21, 2019. However, after this date, the submission of the forms is possible until February 28, 2019, with a late fine.
The application fee of CUSAT CAT 2019 is Rs. 1000/- for the general category candidates, Rs. 500/- for the SC/ST Category Candidates and Rs. 6000/- for candidates who apply under NRI Quota/Children of Indian Gulf Workers (CGW).
To fill the application form the candidates need to visit the official website of CUSAT CAT 2019, cusat.ac.in. The mode of applying is online only and the mode of submission with application fee payment is online too.
To fill the application form the candidates need to register first using their name, date of birth, email id and phone number. Thereafter the candidates need to log in using the credentials sent to your email id and phone. After this, the application form appears on the screen. The candidates need to fill the details related to course choice, center selection, reservation, and personal details.
In the application form, the candidates need to upload scanned images of passport sized photo and signature. The signature and photo must be of the sizes as mentioned in the instructions by the University. The instructions mention that the photo must be in JPG/png format and sizes must be between Between 4 kb and 500 kb and with dimensions 150 x 180 pixels. Similarly, the signature specifications are hat the format must be in JPG/png format and the size must be between 1 KB and 100 KB, the dimension must be 132 x 57 pixels.
The CUSAT CAT 2019 exam will be held across almost 28 test centers across India on April 06-07, 2019.
All the 10+2 passed or qualifying candidates are eligible to apply for the exam. The minimum marks needed in the 10+2 exam to be eligible for appearing in the entrance exam is 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together. However, this criteria is different for the candidates wishing to take admission in the instrumentation technology. For them, the minimum marks needed are 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together and with at least 55% in Mathematics separately.
