The notification for CTET 2018 was published online on June 12, 2018, since then candidates were waiting for the registration process to start. The Central Board of Secondary Education has started the application process for the 11th Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) from August 01, 2018 onwards. The last date to submit the application form is August 27, 2018, and the last date to submit the application fee is August 30, 2018.
To register for CTET 2018, the aspirants first must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria. To apply for CBSE CTET online, visit the official website at ctet.nic.in. Then click on the link for “ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR CTET 2018“. A new page will open in which you need to need to enter your personal details. Fill in details in the online CTET Application Form and note down the system generated Registration/ Application Number.
In the application form, the candidates have to upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature. Ensure that the images to be uploaded must be as per the specifications. The scanned images should be in jpg format. Size of the photo image must be greater than 10 kb and less than 100 kb, and the size of the signature image must be greater than 3 kb and less than 30 kb.
To apply for CTET 2018, the General / OBC Category candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 700/- (for Paper Ior Paper II) or Rs. 1200 /- (Both Paper – I & II). Whereas, SC / ST / Differently Abled Category candidates need to pay Rs. 350 /- (for Paper Ior Paper II) or Rs. Rs. 600 /- (Both Paper – I & II).
The application fee is payable by E-Challan by depositing the prescribed fee in CTET Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank or you can also pay it by online mode using the Debit/Credit Card. The last step is to submit the application form, and then Print Confirmation Page for your record and future reference.
A one-time facility for making corrections in the application form will also be provided to the candidates. To edit details in the online application, the candidates need to log in and make the necessary changes in the online application. However, the candidates shall be permitted to make online correction in their following particulars i.e. name, father and mother name, date of birth, category, differently abled category, Paper opted (i.e. Paper I or Paper II), Subject for Paper -II, First choice of Centre, language I and/or II opted, Address of correspondence and the name of the Institution/ College/ University from where he/ she has obtained his/ her B.Ed Degree/ Diploma in Elementary Education etc.
The exam date for CTET 2018 has not yet been announced. However, it is expected it shall be announced once the registration process is over. The test will be conducted in twenty languages in 92 cities all over the country.
HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar confirmed this on twitter that the CBSE CTET 2018 examination will be conducted in all 20 Indian languages as opposed to the previous directives to remove Tamil and 16 other languages from NET list of options.
Candidates with 60% score or more in the CBSE CTET 2018 exam will be considered as TET pass. A relaxation of 05% in the qualifying marks in the minimum educational qualification will be given to the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/differently abled category).
