CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) is one of the premier national laboratories known for research, design and development of scientific and industrial instruments. CSIR has announced 27 vacancies for the recruitment of group III Technical Staff. Eligible candidates can avail this opportunity to be a part of the esteemed organisation.
The detailed advertisement is released on the official website of the organization on 15 November 2019, under the advertisement number 02/2019. Window to apply online is open till 15 December 2019 upto 5:00 PM.
The designations for which the recruitment drive is taking place are, Senior Medical Officer, Senior Technical Officer (1), Senior Technical Officer (2) and Technical Assistant. Candidates willing to apply for the post of Senior Medical Officer and Senior Technical Officer (2) must ensure that their age is below or upto 40 years. The upper age limit for the Senior Technical Officer (1) is 35 years and for the Technical Assistant it is 28 years.
As far as the educational qualification is concerned, candidates applying for Senior Medical Officer, must have done MBBS with MD from a recognized university, registered with the Medical Council of India. Candidates applying for the post of Senior Technical Officer must have BE, B.Tech degree, passed with minimum of 55% marks. The first thing a candidate has to do is to visit the official website which is csio.res.in ->> On the main page itself one can see the moving links in blue stating “ Advertisement 2/2019 recruitment of group III technical staff” ->> Click on the link and soon the apply online link and advertisement brochure page will get generated ->> With the available link, candidates can register themselves and proceed with the filling of application form.
It must be noted that candidates willing to apply for more than one post have to submit separate application form for each post applied. In the application form, one has to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature with other relevant documents as specified.
General, OBC, EWS category candidates who are filling the form, has to pay the application fee of Rs. 500 through state bank collect only. The payment link for the same has been made available with the apply online link. Candidates need to click on “click here to deposit the fee via SBI collect” link to pay the fee. SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees/Abroad candidates category are exempted from submission of application fee.
Selection procedure for each post is different from other. For the post of a Senior Medical Officer, Senior Technical Officer (1) and Senior Technical Officer (2), the selection will be done only through the interview. For the post of the Technical Assistant, candidates will be called for a trade test. Those who will qualify the trade test have to appear for a written examination. This examination will be held online and it will have total 200 objective types questions. Candidates will get total 3 hours to complete the paper. The paper have 3 sections: one is mental ability test, other is general awareness and english language and the last part is for the respective/concerned subject.
Once the selection procedure is over, the individual hired as a Senior Medical Officer will get total emoluments of Rs. 1,05,853 including NPA. Senior Technical Officer (2), if posted in CSIO Delhi center will get the emoluments of Rs. 1,00,136. Senior technical officer (1) will get Rs. 84,360 for CSIO Delhi center. Similarly for the post of Technical Assistant, candidates if posted in CSIO Chandigarh center will get Rs. 47,328 and for CSIO Delhi center the received amount will be Rs. 52,176. The selected candidates will be on a probation period of 01 year, which is entitled to either get curtailed or extended, as decided by authorities. Also, it is mandatory for individuals to acquire the knowledge of Hindi during their probation period.
