The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) is likely to release the Bihar Police Constable Exam 2017 Result today. The candidates have been eagerly waiting for their result. Applicants who appeared for the exam on October 15 and 22, 2017 throughout different centers in the state would be able to check their result through online mode only at csbc.bih.nic.in.
Earlier the result was expected to be available in the last week of December, however, now it is expected to be released today, i.e., December 27, 2017. The candidates can check their result by entering the details such as roll number and password and submit it. On submitting the details, the result will appear on the screen. The result shall be available in pdf format.
The official authorities have though not made any announcement of declaring the result today. So, it is advised to candidates to keep checking the website.
CSBC will upload the result to recruit the candidate for a total of 9,900 vacancies for the post of Constable. As per the newspaper reports, nearly 11 lakh candidates have appeared for the Constable Exam. Out of these many candidates, approximately, 50,000 candidates would be shortlisted for the next round.
To qualify the written exam the candidate need to obtain minimum 30 marks out of 100 marks. Those will pass the written test will then be eligible to appear for Physical Ability Test (PAT). The PAT test will include running, shot put and high jump. For example, if the candidate takes less than five minutes, they will be able to score 50 marks.
The written examination was of class 12 (Bihar School Examination Board) or equivalent standard. The exam consisted of MCQ questions of a total of 100 marks. The candidate had to complete the exam in a duration of 02 hours. As far as the marking scheme is concerned, the candidate will be given 01 marks for every correct answer.
After the declaration of the Bihar Police Constable Result 2017, the CSBC will prepare a merit list for selection for the appointment to the post of Constable in District and Military Police. The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in all the three events under Physical Ability Test, viz. Run, Shot Put and High Jump.
In case of candidates obtaining equal marks in the written exam or PAT, the inter-se merit will be determined by considering the Date of Birth of the candidate. This means that the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit, and if the tie is still not resolved, then the candidates having the higher educational qualifications shall be placed higher in the merit list.
