COMEDK 2019 Application Form will be available from the 3rd week of January 2019, as notified in the official website of COMEDK, comedk.org. COMEDK 2019 UGET will be conducted in online mode on May 12, 2019 (Sunday). COMEDK elaborates to Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. This body is conducting the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2019 for admission in around 20000 seats across 190 engineering colleges that are the participating institutions of COMEDK 2019.
The application form for COMEDK UGET 2019 exam will be available for a period of 4 months. Candidates have to apply online only. To access the online application form candidates have to register first using a valid email id and mobile number. The eligible and successfully registered candidates will be able to appear in the UGET exam by COMEDK. The final admission will be based on the COMEDK 2019 score followed by a centralized counseling which is again conducted by COMEDK.
Until last year, the application fee to apply for COMEDK 2019 exam was Rs. 1300. COMEDK 2019 exam will be held around 140 test centers. The exam pattern is such that there will 60 questions asked from each subject – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The total marks of the exam will be 180. There is no provision of negative marking. The entrance test is based on the existing syllabus of 10 + 2 / 12th STD / 2nd PUC.

Eligibility: Candidates are eligible to apply for COMEDK 2019 UGET exam if they had studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject in the 10+2 level. In addition to that candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. This minimum marks is however relaxed by 5% for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC category.
Diploma candidates are not eligible to take COMEDK UGET 2019 as there are no lateral entry admissions.
The entire information on the COMEDK 2019 is yet to be made available. However, it has been notified that the information brochure with all the detailed information will be available in January 2019.
COMEDK is a group of institutes that have come together to serve a common aim. It was based on the idea that Institutes imparting same or similar professional education can join together for holding a common entrance test. Thus as the COMEDK 2019 notice dated November 28, 2018 reads – “Accordingly, Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) comprising of more than 150 Engineering colleges in Karnataka have joined together and have entrusted COMEDK with the responsibility of conducting the entrance examination and seat selection process based on a single common entrance test followed by centralized counselling to students seeking admissions in their member institutions so as to ensure fair and merit-based admissions as envisaged in the above judgments.”
