College of Vocational Students, University of Delhi, has published notification for recruitment to Assistant Professor post with 95 vacancies. CVS DU is inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill the vacancies in 11 different departments / subjects. Regarding the last date to apply, the notification says “last date for receipt of application is 22.12.2019 Or two weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News, whichever is later”.

There are 29 vacancies in commerce department, 1 in computer science, 17 in economics, 12 in english, 2 in EVS, 11 in hindi, 10 in history, 1 in mathematics, 8 in management, 1 in political science, and 3 in tourism.
Category wise, the overall vacancies are divided into 35 for UR, 24 for OBC, 15 for SC, 6 for ST, 4 for PWBD, and 11 for EWS.
In order to join CVS as an assistant professor, the candidate should have a masters degree with at least 55% in the said qualification. Masters degree should be in a relevant or concerned or allied subject. Besides, applicant should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR.
Such candidates will be exempt from NET who satisfy clause ii and iii of general note in the last section of the detailed notification published by CVS, DU.
Application fee for College of Vocational Studies recruitment 2019is Rs 500 for UR, OBC, EWS candidates. It is nil for SC, ST, PWBD, and women candidates.
From the applications that the college will receive, candidates will be shortlisted for interviews. The criteria for shortlisting is quite elaborate, and takes into account graduation marks, post graduation marks, M.Phil score, PhD score. In addition, there are marks for NET with JRF, NET, research publications, teaching or post doctoral experience, and awards.
Marks awarded during screening will not have any weightage in final selection. Besides clearing the selection rounds, candidates also need to complete document verification. Required set of documents will include date of birth proof, academic degree certificates, NET/JRF certificate, experience certificate, other certificates of academic or research distinction, research publications in original. Depending upon candidature, candidates may also have to submit caste certificate, non objection certificate, physical disability certificate.
A single candidate may apply for more than one post, but for each, a separate application needs to be filled. It may also be noted that other than Indian citizens, those who have acquired the status of overseas citizens of India (OCI) and have the necessary documents in support of the same can also apply.
