The last date to apply for CMAT 2020 is today, November 30, 2019. National Testing Agency (NTA) gave the aspirants a window of exactly 30 days to apply for the Common Management Admission Test online on cmat.nta.nic.in. However, the payment of the application fee can be completed by December 01, 2019. Also, the choice of exam city can be submitted until December 02, 2019.
Last year, the last date to apply for CMAT was extended by 7 more days. This year, NTA extended the application form filling dates of all its exam including JEE Main, IIFT, UGC NET and CSIR NET by around 5 to 7 days.
With the last date today and no notice of extension as of now, candidates must complete the entire application process before 11:50 pm today. The process starts with registration, if not already registered. Next in line is filling the application form, uploading photo and signature, paying the application fee and submitting choice of exam city. The application fee submission can be completed by tomorrow until the bank hours.
The application fee is Rs. 1600 for the general male candidates and Rs. 1000 for general female candidates. The SC, ST and PwD male candidates have to remit Rs. 800, while the females and transgenders of the same categories have to pay Rs. 700. All other candidates have to pay off Rs. 1000 to submit the form. The application fee can be paid using online mode only that are debit card, credit card or net banking.
If the application process is successful, candidates will get an ‘Ok’ status under their application status tab in the dashboard. Thereafter, candidates can take print out of their application confirmation page.
The new aspect of CMAT 2020 application process is that this time the candidates are allowed to submit the choice of exam city after the payment of the application fee. The selection of the exam city is based on a first come first serve basis. The applicants can choose any available city which will be immediately allotted to the applicant.
NTA will allocate the examination centre in the chosen city, which will be displayed in the admit card. CMAT 2020 admit card will be available from December 24, 2019.
The exam date of CMAT 2020 is January 28, 2020. The exam will be held in CBT mode across the nation in one shift only from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm. CMAT was held initially by AICTE until 2018. However, as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, National Testing Agency (NTA) took charge of the exam form the year 2019.
