National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened image correction facility for CMAT 2020 and GPAT 2020 on November 08, 2019. The image correction button has been activated on the home screen of CMAT and GPAT websites, cmat.nta.nic.in and gpat.nta.nic.in respectively.

The button reads “Remove Image Discrepancy”. On clicking the same, the candidates will land on the login page. Here they need to provide their application number, password and security pin to login and access the image correction facility.

For both Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2020 and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2020, the correct specification of images to be uploaded is specified by NTA. This includes uploading the scanned photo in JPG/JPEG format and between 10 kb to 200 kb. Similarly, the scanned signature must be of JPG/JPEG and the size of which must be between 4 kb to 30 kb.

To scan the images the students have touse a scanner, an ideal way of scanning the photo can be pasting it on a clean A4 sized paper, scanning the same and using a photo editing tool, and cropping the excess space out. Then the image must be optimized in the sizes specified and saved in a JPEG format.

Also, the photo to be scanned must not be a selfie and also should not be more than 6 months old. In the photo, the full front face must be clearly visible.

For signature the candidates must take care that they do it in running hand and do not sign in full CAPS. To scan your sign, make a rectangle of 7cm and breadth 2 cm in size and then do the signature inside it. Scan this rectangle and crop away any excess space outside the rectangle. Now save the scanned image as per the specification.

GPAT and CMAT fresh registration is going on and will end on November 30, 2019. The image correction facility is for the candidates who have already registered for the exam and also have paid the fee but wish to correct some fault in the uploaded images.

For fresh registration, candidates have to register using their email id, mobile number, name and date of birth, fill the application form, upload the scanned images, pay the application fee and select their preferred exam center. The application fee to apply for both CMAT 2020 and GPAT 2020 is the same. The SC, ST, PwD, and transgender candidates have to pay Rs. 800. General, gen-EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates have to pay Rs. 1600 and for the females of any category the fee is Rs. 800/-.

The mode of application fee payment is via a valid debit/credit card or net banking for both the exam.

This time, in CMAT 2020 and GPAT 2020, NTA has allowed to select the exam city just after payment of the application fee and the candidates can select only one exam city. The availability of exam city is based on first come first serve basis. NTA also shows the number of centers available in the selected city and the capacity of the same.

CMAT 2020 and GPAT 2020 will be held on same day that is on January 28, 2020 in one shift. The exams are in online mode and will be hld across various exam centers in cities if India only.
