Finally, its that time of the year when the students will be able to register themselves for the most acclaimed Law entrance exam, i.e CLAT 2019. According to the latest news and online discussions, it is expected that the CLAT 2019 Application form will be available from Jan 10, 2019. Now is the time that the students keep an eye on the official website of CLAT – clat.ac.in.
It was announced much before that the CLAT 2019 exam will be conducted by National Law University, Odisha (NLUO). Candidates will also be informed about the availability of CLAT 2019 Application form by NLUO. As of now, the official website of NLUO has confirmed the exam date for CLAT 2019 to be May 12, 2019.
According to the news on CLAT 2019, the question bank is being prepared for CLAT 2019. Also, candidates need to know that for the very first time, the CLAT 2019 exam will include subjective type questions. National Testing Agency (NTA) and Bar Council of India (BCI) have also expressed their willingness to conduct the CLAT 2019 exam. The Supreme Court is in process of announcing the decision in this regard. As of now, the conducting body for CLAT 2019 is NLUO.
Know how to Apply for CLAT 2019
Candidates can register themselves by registering themselves on the official website. Candidates can register using their Email Id and Mobile Number. The candidates will be sent a provisional registration number and password. Candidates can use these credentials to login, upload the documents, fill the details in the application form and pay the application fee. Students must note that they will be able to register themselves only until last week of March 2019. Candidates will be able to access their CLAT 2019 Admit Card through their login itself.
CLAT 2019 Exam Pattern
CLAT 2019 Exam will be conducted in offline mode for a time duration of 2 hours. In this time duration, the students have to answer 200 MCQ type questions. As per the CLAT 2019 Syllabus There will be 5 sections in the CLAT 2019 Exam namely – Logical reasoning, legal aptitude, GK and Current Affaires, Elementary Maths and English. Whereas for CLAT 2019 PG exam, students will have 150 MCQ type questions which have to be completed within 2 Hrs. There will be 3 sections namely – Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law and other law related subjects studied earlier.
Marking Scheme
For both CLAT 2019 UG and PG, candidates will be awarded with +1 mark for every correct answer and -0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrectly answered question.
Get Admission in 20 National Law Universities
On the basis of CLAT 2019 exam, the students can get admission in 20 National Law Universities (NLU’s). The newest addition to the NLU’s accepting CLAT scores is HPNLU Shimla. A new NLU was also welcomed this year which is Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur.
