A wave of frenzy was spread among MBA aspirants when the notification for upcoming IIFT and CAT were released. The notices made it clear that both the examination will be held on same date, i.e. November 26, 2017. The clash did not only took the candidates by surprise but also shot up the level of anxiety because these are two of the major management entrance examination in the country.
However, the candidates can relax a bit now. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has realized the seriousness of the collied and has issued the following notice, “The issue related to the clashing of Date of MBA(IB) with CAT is resolved and the candidates will be updated soon on the issue.”
It is a good news for the candidates appearing for both the examinations. Soon the conducting bodies will announced a new date for any one of the examination. Now, the candidates can focus on completing the application process and wait for the next update regarding the resolved issue.
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is going to conduct MBA (IB) 2018 Examination on November 26, 2017. The online registration has begun from July 25, 2017, and will end on September 8, 2017. All the important dates along with the other details such as application form, exam pattern, exam centres, exam syllabus etc. are available on the official website.
On the other hand, CAT 2017 the registration process for CAT 2017 started on August 9, 2017, to September 20, 2017. All the other dates are also being declared. The entire procedure of filling the form along with the payment will be completed through the online mode only. For all the relevant information regarding the examination, the candidates can only use the online medium.
Before applying for any of the examinations, the candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the concerned courses. As, no candidate will get admission if they are not found ineligible at any later stage. For both the examinations, the candidates can only apply with 50% marks in Bachelor degree. The selection process for both IIFT MBA (IB) 2018 and CAT 2017 will be the same i.e. Written test, Group Discussion, followed by the Personal Interview. Therefore, it will be a bit relaxing situation for the candidates to prepare as things are similar in both the examination.
Apart from this, many other factors which will be considered for IIFT MBA(IB) 2018 and CAT 2017 admission in MBA courses. Many factors are different also in both the examinations such as the number of sections, the number of questions, marking scheme, mode of exam etc. Therefore, all the factors regarding the examination are important for the candidates. So, it an advice to the appearing candidates that before appearing for the examination, the candidates must go through all the factors of the examinations to enhance their understanding and preparation for both the examinations.
