In the overall rankings, Chitkara University secured a position in the 101-150 band, highlighting its standing among the top institutions in the country. The university also earned a place in the 11-50 band in the Innovation Category, which encompasses both government and private institutions of national importance. The rankings awarded Chitkara University the 30th rank in the Architecture category, the 64th rank in the Management category, and the 92nd rank in the Engineering category. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), authorized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), is responsible for ranking colleges and universities in India. The framework considers five parameters: teaching-learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.
