CGPSC Mains Result 2018 announced! Total 821 shortlisted for interview, document verification

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has announced the result of State Service Examination 2018 mains today, on December 19, 2019. The result file has been uploaded at psc.cg.gov.in under the section titled new, by the name “written exam result state service (mains) examination 2018”. 

This result consists of roll numbers of all the candidates who have been declared as qualified for the interview process. And it may be noted that a day prior to interviews, will be document verification. All in all, a total of 821 candidates have been shortlisted. 

A total of 95,904 candidates had applied for the CGPSC state service examination 2018 against the advertised 273 vacancies. For all the candidates who had applied, the commission conducted preliminary exam on February 17, 2019 in 16 districts at 233 exam centres. As per official records, a total of 80,892 candidates appeared in the exam. 

On the basis of the results of the preliminary exam, the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission shortlisted a total of 4,128 candidates to appear in the mains exam. Then on July 23, 24, 25, and 26, 2019, the commission held the CGPSC mains 2018 exam. Now on the basis of performance of candidates in mains, their results have been announced. 

The commission informs that such candidates who have qualified in mains, but do not attend the document verification process shall not be allowed to appear in interviews. Also that this result is provisional at best, as candidates also need to prove their eligibility through their documents. 

If at any stage CGPSC comes across ineligible candidate, or such who had provided incorrect details in their form, they can reject the candidature of such irrespective of the results. Candidates must present all the required documents, instructed to them through the notification, admit card, and separate instructions, at the time of certificate verifications. Whereas some certificates apply to all, few are applicable on category and other such basis.

Details of CGPSC 2018 interviews dates, schedule, and instructions will be separately published by the commission at psc.cg.gov.in. other than the qualified candidates, all others who had appeared in the written exam have also been asked to check the official website at regular intervals for further updates. 

On one hand the chapter of CGPSC 2018 state service exam comes closer towards its end, and on the other hand, that of CGPSC 2019 state service exam has just begun. Registrations for the latter are ongoing, last date to apply for it is January 4, 2020. This time there are 199 vacancies.

For the upcoming state services exam, form correction shall commence on January 7, 2020 and end on January 13, 2020. The prelims has been scheduled to be held on February 9, 2020. And mains will be held from June 17 to 20, 2020.

The commission is, at present, also accepting applications for the Assistant Professor recruitment. Last date to apply for the same is tomorrow, December 20, 2019.
