The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is closing the registration process for CEED 2020 and UCEED 2020 on November 09, 2019. This is the last opportunity for candidates to submit the application form online at ceed.iitb.ac.in or uceed.iitb.ac.in. After this, students have to pay late fee to submit the application form, which is, till November 16, 2019.
The application form for CEED and UCEED 2020 released online on October 09, 2019. Candidates who fail to submit the form before the deadline can submit the form but will have to pay late fee of Rs. 500 along with the application fee.
The registration fee for CEED 2020 is Rs. 1,300 for all women candidates/ SC / ST / PwD, and Rs. 2,600 for all other candidates. For UCEED 2020, the application fee amount for examination centres in India is Rs. 1500 for Female candidates (all categories)/ SC, ST, PwD, Rs. 3000 for all other category candidates, USD 200 for candidates from SAARC countries and USD 325 for candidates from Non-SAARC countries. In UCEED 2020, the registration fee for examination centres in Dubai is USD 200 for all Indian nationals/ candidates from SAARC countries and USD 325 for candidates from Non-SAARC countries.
To register online, candidates have to visit the official website of the entrance exam. On the homepage of the website, click on the relevant link to apply online, Next, the candidates have to register online by entering their email id. After this, en email with an activation URL is sent to the candidates at their registered email id. Next, the candidates have to fill in their personal details, educational qualification details, etc in the application form. Upload images and pay the required amount of the application fee.
After the application process is over, the conducting body issues the admit card to the registered candidates. It will be available for download from january 01, 2020 onwards. To download it, candidates have to log in by entering their email id and password. It will contain the address of the test centre allotted to the candidates for the entrance exam.
CEED exam is divided into two parts – Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer-based screening test which consist of objective type questions, numerical answer type questions (NAT), multiple select questions (MSQ) and multiple choice questions (MCQ). Qualifiers in the Part A are then eligible to appear for PART of the CEED 2020 exam which is a drawing test. UCEED examination also have two parts – Part A and Part B. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify both the parts. Part A will contain three type of questions – Numerical answer type (NAT), MSQ and MCQ and Part B contain a drawing question.
CEED and UCEED are conducted at national level by IIT Bombay. The entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 18, 2020. CEED entrance exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for admission in MDes and PhD programmes in various institutes, whereas, UCEED is conducted for admission in Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur.
