Today the Combined Defense Services 2 of the 2018 year started with the English examination. The first exam of the day is of English which started at 09:00 AM and concluded on 11:00 AM. As the examination is over now, so the CDS Answer key for English paper has been released. The answer key released for all sets (A, B, C, D) of English, candidates can pick up their set.
This answer key is unofficial, released by some giant coaching institutes, and prepared by the experts. The official answer key will be released by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at upsc.gov.in. The answer key of CDS English paper consists of 100 answers. The answer key is accessible in the form of a pdf file and video. The candidates who have given the exam of English can check the answer key and can estimate their marks.
After the examination students were seen discussing their exam and ups and downs of the exam. They shared their reaction about examination at the exam center.
While calculating the marks the candidates should remember the marking scheme of the exam. In CDS exam there is +1 for each correct answer, and for an incorrect answer, there is the penalty of 1/3 marks.
Now at 12:00 PM all the candidates who enrolled for CDS have to appear in the General Knowledge exam, and at 03:00 PM, except for OTA’s applicants all of the aspirants need to appear in Maths Exam. After each examination, the candidates can get the answer key of the exam.
For each academy, the candidates have to undergo a different pattern of examination. Here the exam pattern for Indian Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy has three subjects in the paper those are English, General Knowledge, and Mathematics. While the candidate who applies for the OTA have to appear in only two examinations English and GK.
After a few weeks of examination, UPSC will release the final result of the written examination. Then the candidates will get their exact marks, till then they have to rely upon the unofficial answer key. The result will be prepared as per the cut off decided by the UPSC, however, the minimum qualifying marks for each exam is 20%.
About the exam – The four defense academies of India, Indian Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer’s Traning Academy uses Combined Defense Services Examination as the gateway to give admission the young graduates in the academy. And UPSC creates this gateway by conducting the CDS examination twice a year.
